Ronix pulled out all the stops by focusing on these 3 priorities for the One Modello Edition Wakeboard: 1) Make a board that doesn’t feel tight on the water – recessing the fins inside of the wake without sacrificing stability. 2) Build a smoother blend in the variable rail for more predictable edge transfers. 3) With the help of Parks Bonifay, create a new style of rocker with the most glide speed. Every aspect of the Ronix One Modello board’s rocker was built for the least amount of resistance with the water. Now you can ride longer with less work and carry more overall speed into the wake.
Construction
Mod Pour - A stiffer, lighter, super saucy core with the highest strength to weight ratio
Krypto Cable - Consists of different fibers woven together that surround the profile of the board and are fused together with the Mod Pour core. Combined with monocoque laminated glass, the sidewalls are the strongest part of the board.
Parallel Carbon - This weave provides a more rigid layup than a traditional fiberglass board.
Rocker and Base Features
Late Rocker - An exaggerated rocker liner with a later arc and a higher degree to provide a more straight up explosive pop. This style of rocker creates more of an instant explosive buck off the wake - for riders that go behind a big boat wake.
Sintered Base - The most durable base material tested on rails without loosing any glide speed on the water with a higher purity of a compound that preserves its bond over time.
Glide Speed - Designed with more water surface contact and less coefficient drag. Riders have less resistance, and travels up the wake with more forward momentum and lands with less impact. The lift comes from an easier release and added speed.
Rails/Edges
New surf/round rail with a soft bevel through the center allows the board to ride higher and prevents that all too familiar edge catching digger.
Rail blends to a sharper bevel and a vertical sidewall in the tip/tail creating additional contact with the water.
Thin profile reduces swing weight
Fins
4 Detachable 1.0" Ramp Fins
Additional Features
Deeper side vents for fins provide the best in traction with a looser feel and a quick release.
Designed and endorsed by Danny Harf
Instant Energy - Allows a quicker way to generate lift off the transition as the energy takes place sooner. With a super firm snap off the wake, this board is for riders that can handle the extra kick.

Comments about Ronix One Modello Edition Wakeboard 2012:

I am around 155lbs and ride a 142 One. Compared to my Viva 140 its big. Control wise its great not too loose or too tight on the water, great pop, smooth landings, just kind of heavy compared to other ronix boards. makes it tough to bring it up for grabs sometimes, especially if your grabbing a spin. For a lighter board go with the parks or viva, otherwise a great board

Comments about Ronix One Modello Edition Wakeboard 2012:

Fantastic board. Looks great right out of the box. Rides extremely well. I'm no expert, but this board was a great purchase for my first serious board. I've ridden other nice boards, and this one beats them all. Smooth on the water and gives you a nice pop of the wake. The Modello is a good choice for any rider.

It's a nice board. Has a wide feel to it compared to the 03 Parks board I rode. I wakeskate a lot more than wakeboard, so I like a less-connected feel to the water. These fins are shallow, but I still want less fins than this. I'm going shorter and shallower on those. The rocker is definitely less abrubt than a Parks board. Quality looks great, board is nice for sure. Forgiving on the edges.

I bought the board and love it for the most part, but its not totally what I thought it would be from the write up. I like a looser feel and when the board came it was a bit tight with the one inch fins. I called both evo and tonic to try to get some of the .8 ramp fins only to be told it could be up to 8 weeks as they had to come from China. I've bought some of the slider fins until they show up, but I'm disappointed I can't get my hands on the ones I want.

Comments about Ronix One Modello Edition Wakeboard 2012:

                                        First impressions of this board:
                                        1) Holds its edge better than any board I've ridden
                                        2) It helps you come out of shaky landings

This is my first Ronix board. I am very impressed with the ride. When turning to come into the wake, it feels like you're on a rail. I love the way it holds on and locks in.

The board feels heavy compared to other boards. I'm 6'2" and 190 lbs, so the extra weight is a non-issue. In fact, I feel that the weight is the main reason why this board is so stable on landings. It seems to sit higher in the water, which has allowed me to land tricks that would have otherwise been crashes for sure. If you get any part of the bottom of the board on the water, it is going to grab hold and help pull you through the landing.

I am not getting huge pop out of the board yet. This is my first three stage rocker, so hopefully I'll figure it out. I was concerned with the flat bottom (referred to by Ronix as the sweet spot) being unforgiving on landings. On the contrary, I am taking landings into the flats and the impact is no problem.

The stance on the newer boards is a bit wider. Mine is at 24" right now. It was an easy adjustment to make and now feels natural after a few sessions.

Because the board holds it edge so well, I think it makes it marginally more difficult to break the board loose, but once you learn to feel your feet on this board, you'll have no trouble.
