The 2014 Flow Viper Snowboard is one smooth operator! The hybrid sidewall construction excels in all conditions, so whether you're a newbie or seasoned vet, the Viper will know how to show you a good time. The EZ-Flat Rock profile with a low-profile nose & tail combined with a mellow sidecut make this a welcoming ride for all ability levels.

EZ-Flat (Mellow Rocker) – A flat camber profile with a gently rockered nose and tail just outside the inserts makes for a smooth and stable ride by reducing chatter.
Flex
Flex Rating: 2.5 (1 Soft - 5 Stiff) – Soft enough for forgiving freestyle riding but supportive enough for all mountain precision.
Shape
TruTwin – Equal amounts of nose and tail allow a rider equal opportunity to ride in any direction.
Core
TruFlex Core – High strength-to-weight wood construction utilizing different density poplar woods uniquely profiled to give an excellent response while riding.
Laminates
Biaxial Glass – The majority of the fibers are in the 0˚ axis to add extra pop and more natural torsional flex to the board.

Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.

Extruded Anodized Aluminum Heelcups – The strongest and most versatile aluminum heelcup on the market, extruded aluminum comes out 100% pure and maintains its true shape no matter how much wear and tear you inflict. Also, every Union heelcup undergoes an anodizing process—reinforcing the already bombproof apparatus with 30% more strength.
Universal Disks – Compatible with any traditional 4x4 mounting system and 3-hole board patterns. Channel Compatible Discs are available separately from Union to fit Burton snowboards with The Channel.
Grade 8.8 Hardware – The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding goes through, Union uses only the highest-strength steel, with a property class of 8.8.
