Everyone is dead or dying perhaps. The CAPiTA Black Snowboard of Death is not to be taken lightly - it will hurt you. Respect this all-mountain destroyer. The Black Death features CAPiTA's next-generation Mountain FK rocker profile, with rocker in the nose to decimate pow fields and camber through the midsection to pop and slash your way through the silent snow-filled forests. The Hover Core™ and pre-curved carbon boosters make this deck light and nimble as the legendary Wu-Tang sword. No corner of the mountain is safe with the CAPiTA Black Snowboard of Death.
Mountain FK – The all-new Mountain FK design features the same mid body camber and flat tail used in Hybrid FK boards and adds in the reverse cambered nose of the Freeride FK. This allows for tons of pop and stability on the hard pack while increasing float and landing power, improving the rider's performance in deep snow.
Flat Kick Technology – With Flat Kick design technology CAPiTA has tightened the profile radius that blends the shoulders of the board into the tip and tail height. This is a key area that influences the tempo and feel of turn initiation. With traditional larger tip and tail arcs, the loaded camber contributes to a board's acceleration into a turn. On reverse camber boards the contact points are elevated, removing this camber contribution. As a result, the same traditional tip and tail radii would make the board feel sluggish. Specialized Flat Kick tip and tail arcs combined with elevated reverse camber contact points achieve the ideal tempo into turns. This allows you to have the shorter effective edge of a forgiving, easy to ride, reverse camber snowboard that is still responsive and quick during edge-to-edge transitions.
6 Flex Rating – Stiff enough to float through the pow and engage tough turns, but soft enough to be playful when you need it.
Blended Radial Sidecut – Blended Radial sidecuts feature a single radius arc through the midsection of the board combined with a custom designed blend zone at the contact points. Varying the length of these blend zones and tailoring them specifically for certain aspects of riding greatly improves the board's performance.
Tapered Tail – 5 mm of taper in the tail sinks the tail in deep snow and allows the nose to float. It's proven to reduce tomahawks by 38%.
Hover Core™ – Designed using some of the strongest materials available, the HOVER Core™ is so light it essentially floats across the snow.Thin cut FSC certified wood core strips are combined with a Flax fiber composite webbing to create a unique ply configuration. The result is an energetic core that is extremely light and strong with excellent dampening properties.
Custom Weave – The CUSTOM WEAVE configuration features a resin/glass application borrowed from the marine industry, which yields much stronger and rigid qualities allowing the board to have decreased wood core thickness. The main focus is to save wood core weight by increasing resin performance. The biaxial/triaxial fiberglass combination creates more response while increasing strength and durability.
Pre-cured Carbon Boosters – These 30 mm carbon stringers are strategically pre-cured into an arched shape that counters the board's comber profile. This cross-configuration multiples the energy when the board is flexed and creates a board with twice the ollie power and response than a board with standard carbon additives.
Urethane Topsheet Anchor – Shearing layers are very important when it comes to a board's durability . When layers along the sidewalls flex and bend there is an internal force that wants to pull the layers apart creating a failure in the board's fiberglass. In order to reduce that amount of internal force a softer layer is needed to act as a shock absorber and keep the board together. This thin layer of Urethane allows the board to bend and flex without the risk of failure during impact.

Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Base – These bases are created by taking pellets of ultra-high-molecular-weight Polyethylene and compressing them through heat and pressure. The minuscule spaces left behind absorb wax and allow for extended periods of high speed shredding as the wax wicks to the surface while you ride. This prevents your base from drying out and keeps the surface feeling freshly waxed throughout the day. Properly maintained sintered bases are fast, durable, and are consistently the dominant first choice of pro snowboarders worldwide.
Die-Cut Base – Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.

Titanal Base Inlay – Titanal is a high strength hardened aluminum wrought alloy with excellent compression strength to weight ratios. A perfect top core structural reinforcement, these 20mm Titanal struts resist longitudinal compression.

Performance and durability at their finest, it's no wonder that the Union Factory Snowboard Bindings are the preferred binding of Union Pro Rider Torstein Horgmo. The Stage III Atlas Base works with the Sonicfused™ Ankle Strap and Team Highback to create a balanced ride that is both damp and comfortable, while remaining responsive edge-to-edge. The Canted Power Footbeds create a natural alignment for your joints, so you can ride a wide stance without the pain. The Union Factory Binding are a staple of durability and performance throughout the shred community.
Stage III Atlas Duraflex™ Base – Raw injected, pigment free Duraflex™ nylon provides increased base stiffness and durability.
3D Heelcups – Extruded aluminum comes out 100% pure and maintains its true shape no matter how much wear and tear you inflict upon it.
Canted Gas Pedals – Ideal for riders using a wide stance. Canted Gas Pedals on the T.Rice bindings provide extra leverage for ollie power.
3-Position Heelcup Adjustment
Team Highbacks – Tried and true, the symmetrical team highback is a favorite of team riders like Torstein Horgmo.
Shift-on-the-Fly Forward Lean – Quick and easy to use, adjust the forward lean with a simple flip of a knob then slide it to wherever you want and re-lock it. Easily done while waiting in those pesky lift lines.
Sonicfused™ Ankle Straps – Multi-layer composite is fused together to form a single articulated strap component. This approach minimizes stitching and increases the overall durability.
3D Direct Connect Toe Strap – Multiple layers of durable and lightweight material in the core evenly distribute pressure across the top of your foot, giving you a comfortable and responsive ride.
Magnesium Buckles – A high-tech manufacturing process produces a material that is extremely strong, durable and mega-lightweight. Plus, magnesium is recyclable and is one of the most abundant materials on the planet.
4x4 Inset Pattern – Compatible with most 2x4, 4x4, and Channel mounting systems.
Grade 8.8 Hardware – The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding is under, Union uses only the strongest steel on ALL hardware.
