Time to step up your freestyle game with the CAPiTA Stairmaster EXTREME Snowboard. This board always comes out a winner - Dew Tour slope finals, X Games, Transworld, and how could it not with features like DS Select polar and beech wood core, tried and true camber, and wax infused sintered base. Clearly built for the progressive park shredder, the Stairmaster EXTREME is one hell of a freestyle party machine.
Flex
Flex rating: 6 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff) The Stairmaster Extreme Snowboard is a true twin park board made for the extreme freestyle rider with a slightly stiffer flex rating of 6 for plenty of pop and response.
Construction and Core
DS SELECT RFC Sustainable Core is constructed with the highest quality poplar and beech woods. Beech is placed along the rails, enabling the rider to hold a solid edge while carving, eliminating chatter at high speeds and contributing more power to ollies and landings. Poplar strips are fused with the beech sections for flex consistency and vibration absorption.
Custom Weave E Class Fiberglass Configuration utilizes custom weave epoxy resin system with the focus on saving the wood core weight by increasing resin performance. It feature dual 30mm carbon fiber wings from inserts to contact points for retained power and added pop
Shape
Traditional Camber elongates your effective edge and provides more power in your nose and tail. The board pops hard and allows more high speed turning stability in the design
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Die Cut Sidewalls with 1.5mm Dampening System
Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Speed Base is created by taking pellets of ultra-high molecular weight Polyethylene and compressing them through heat and pressure. The tiny spaces left behind absorb wax and allow for extended period of high speeds as the wax wicks to the surface. This also prevents dry bases and keeps the surface freshly waxed longer.
360 Degree Steel Edges add some extra beef for more durability and control
Aluminum Logo Base Inlay
Binding Compatibility
2 x 4 Inserts

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
