WDT Engineered Jib Core – The WDT (Wood Derived Technology) core was designed to give jibbers and park riders the softer flex patterns they want without sacrificing durability. Pressure bonded wood composite materials retain the classic feel of a full wood core board while increasing flex values. Engineered for freestyle, park and street rail boards, the WDT core has high elasticity characteristics surrounding low-density wood fibers. This balance provides a new realm of lightweight, soft flexing boards, with a damp ride and dependable durability.

Pre-Cured 420 – Engineered to compliment the WDT core construction, the Pre-Cured 420 configuration consists of 370 g of e-glass in the 0˚ direction and 50 g of e-glass in the 90˚ direction. It's pre-cured for consistency and exits the mold with a high yield of energy memory.

Soft The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.

Also, every Union heelcup undergoes an anodizing process—reinforcing the already bombproof apparatus with 30% more strength.
Grade 8.8 Hardware – The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding goes through, Union uses only the highest-strength steel, with a property class of 8.8.
