When conservatives and liberals collide, usually chaos ensues. However, the Artec Cipher Snowboard seamlessly combines a classic snowboard design with cutting edge tech to give you an extremely versatile, freestyle-focused snowboard. Using a classic camber profile, you get the superior pop and control you grew up with, while the new ComposiTec Beam increases board control and responsiveness. These two technologies, one old-school and one cutting edge, combine to give you a board with unmatched stability and control. The Artec Cipher Snowboard is able to blend conservative style with liberal tech features to provide the best park board around!
Rocker Type
HyperTec Camber - Increases responsiveness and pop providing a powerful freestyle platform
Flex
Soft / Medium - Perfect for freestyle riding: soft enough for buttering while stiff enough for great response
Shape
Blunt Twin Tip
Core
SuproTec Woodcore - A perfect blend of Poplar and Aspen provides a lively, responsive and extremely stable ride.
Laminates
ComposiTec Beam - A lightweight composite carbon-Kevlar® reinforcement material adds to the board's torsional stability. This enables the rider to conserve energy and increases control when riding on either edge.
NorTec Fiberglass - This stronger laminate allows for thinner wood cores, thus reducing the board's weight. It offers the optimized combination of flex and torsion to give you an ultra-stable and ultra-responsive ride.
Sidewalls
TriTEC Sidewalls - This is a 30˚ slanted sidewall constructed using two horizontal layers of traditional ABS material to carry power and energy to the board's edge. A visco-elastic layer positioned between those two layers reduces vibrations and increases control.
Base
AlphaTec Base - The lightest base material known to man is used to create this incredible base. Durable and stone grinded, this is the ultimate gliding surface.

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.

Ever felt like you were missing something for your freestyle setup? That's probably because you aren't rockin' the Artec Matrix Snowboard Bindings yet. The Matrix comes with the UniTec Pro Baseplates, which offer superior board flex so you can get all the pop and tweaking you've ever wanted. Combine that with the DiTec Toe Straps and you'll have a pair of bindings that respond to every little move you make. Change it up this year with the Artec Matrix Bindings.
Baseplate
UniTec Pro Baseplate - A solid one-piece fiberglass-reinforced construction with unique edge bevel offers superior structural integrity, maximum comfort and allows for optimum board flexing. Tool-free adjustable toe ramps puts a perfect boot/binding fit in your hands.
EVA Pads - Shock absorbing EVA foam material reduces impact energy when hitting bumps and stomping landings.
Disc Padding - Disc padding in the flat-bottom of the binding improves contact between the binding and boots of all sizes and prevents unnecessary foot pain, keeping the outsole 100% flat.
Straps
ComforTec Strap - Anatomically designed, these straps are pre-shaped to fit over boots perfectly. An Integrated 3D reinforced frame offers secure hold with no pressure points for ultimate performance.
DiTec Toe Strap - This feature adds length options and enhanced comfort and fit to the toe strap ensuring a perfect fit for all kinds of boot toe shapes. Effortless adjustability options allow fine-tuning of the length and pad centering for maximum performance and comfort.
Highback
ReacTec - Artec straightened and heightened the high back profile, increasing the transfer of energy from the rider's calf to the edge of the board. High back rotation and tool-free forward lean adjustment combine for full adjustability. These changes were designed to give you maximum edge control and power transfer.
Extended Highback EVA Padding - This offers the rider even more comfort through heelside turns and additionally prevents unwanted pressure points on the calf.
