I bought this for my wife to use for resort and back-country snowboarding; she was sick of the typical ill fitting, boxy snowboarding jackets, but still required good storm protection and excellent breathability.
She is pleased with the cut and fit of this Oakley jacket - she is 5'6" and slim with long gorilla arms. The jacket is fitted but not tight. There is plenty of room for layers. The construction appears to be of good quality.
Features that she really likes are:
-magnetic snaps
-excellent wrist gaiters
-removable hood (off most of the time)
-removable powder skirt (on most of the time)

She would have preferred a lighter jacket, but we were unable to find an uninsulated shell with the important features. The strategic thinsulate insulation is great in the resort, but less ideal in the back-country and will limit the jacket's use in the summer for hiking/backpacking.

This is a great jacket and i recommend it to others. I really like the magnets in place of snaps or velcro on the front zipper cover. This jacket has kept me dry and warm in the worst storms.

I've taken this jacket snowboarding about three times already and it's been great. When I first got it i thought there was no way i'd be warm enough for me (i'm always cold), but with just a thermal and the jacket over, i was good for below freezing temperatures.

The jacket is super light weight (most of it doesn't have any thermal lining), and the body is nice and long - something i was looking for. I hate when snowboarding jackets ride up after you put the snow skirt on but this one doesn't, which is great.

The sleeves are too long for my average length arms, but it's not a big deal because they don't get in the way or anything.

I waited until I'd worn this jacket for almost an entire season before reviewing it, and the good news is it held up really well. The high waterproof rating kept me dry even when I rode for hours on drizzly Pacific NW days. With the vents open the jacket wasn't too warm for spring days, and with a fleece underneath it got me through the coldest days just as well.

The jacket is comfortable and functional and still holding up great! It is a roomier/relaxed cut, so if you are one of those girls that likes to wear your snow gear skin tight for some reason, keep that in mind and order accordingly.

The Moniker has pockets where you need them and what you put in them stays pretty dry. I put my iphone in the mp3 pocket and threaded my headphones through the built in headphone cord slit and it survived rather well. The cord in the front pocket with the clip to secure my keys was a nice touch too because sometimes I forget to zip my pockets and this way I didn't have to worry about hiking after my car keys after a spill.

My one minor complaint about this jacket has to do with the magnetic front closures--I know they have a functional purpose, but if I ever had my jacket unzipped they would get stuck on everything! Bathroom stall doors, lift bars, whatever they could stick to. It was a bit annoying at times, but nothing major.

All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by this purchase. The price was great and I actually ended up returning my Burton AK jacket to wear this one al the time. If it came in more colors I'd probably buy a second one as a backup.
