Comments about Oakley Choice Jacket:
I love snow, I just don't like it touching me. After two seasons of being in a 10k jacket (and one Burton softshell that failed consistently after two seasons of abuse) it was time to upgrade to a Gore-Tex Pro Shell.
I am a short guy (5' 5") and 150 lbs. For me, the medium, while perfect on the upper torso, was way too long, both on the sleeve and the length of the jacket. I went for the the small instead. The chest fit is still great are so is the sleeve and overall length now.
It's a Pro-Shell so it's very light and requires layers underneath to keep you warm. For that I got myself a synthetic lightweight vest, specially for days when I am splitboarding or hiking out-of-bound runs.
I've taken it to Stevens, Baker and Snoqualmie and it keeps you bone dry in this Pacific Northwest moisture heavy winter weather. Very well constructed. My hats off to Oakley for a great jacket.
