Nice looking jacket, and features (zippers, velco, etc.) seem solid. Haven't used it in the field yet, but looking forward to doing so. Packs down very small.

It's a good shell. If it's cold you'll want to layer underneath it but this jacket it great for wind and light rain.

I bought this jacket to go snowboarding but when it arrived I was surprised to find out that it was just a fancy windbreaker (it looks a lot warmer in the picture). Under the shell there is no lining. Also, the sleeves are a bit short if you are planniing to go skiing/snowboarding since you want them to be long enough to cover part of your gloves. Another concert that I had is that it was too tight in the chest: I wear size 36-38 in the chest, size S in all my clothing but with a sweater undeneath I felt like my movements were restricted. It does look nice, the hood can be rolled in which is great and the jacket has plenty of pockets. But bc it won't work for snow activities I returned it and bought a warmer Northface jacket instead (I read the description carefully this time!) I do think if you have 1 or 2 layers under it, you should be able to use it with temperatures around 40F+ but lower temperatures would be pushin it.
