I ordered this jacket because it just look sick and the specs were spot on for use in the wet snow we often get here in BC and WA.

The outside really feels like a Levi's jean jacket, but for snowboarding that just won't work. The material is too stiff and will not bend and allow as much free movement as you would expect. Also, when you clip the powder skirt, it gives the jacket a weird looking outside profile. The waist elastics don't do much either because they can't simply pull enough on the jacket to give it a form fitting look.

Like I said, it's a sick idea but 686 should have opted for a "faux"/more flexible, jeans look/material and forgot about the Levi collabo altogether.

I'm sending this back to Evo!

I like this jacket so far. The fabric is quite stiff (it's real denim that's been treated to keep water out) but, much like any other denim jacket, it probably just needs a little while to break it in. It has a Recco avalanche reflector built in, which is a nice feature. Although I wouldn't use it without a beacon in the backcountry, it is a cool idea for in-bounds skiing (just make sure the resort you ski at has the specialized receiver for it). It seems adequately warm for most days, and feels pretty breathable. The aesthetics are also really great, it's quite unique and really stands out. This jacket has a lot of good pockets for storage of change, phone, goggles, snacks, and other things. Another feature I like is that is has a dedicated pass pocket. Short of the longer break in time, I really like this jacket and highly recommend it, especially with Evo's good prices.
