This jacket is very nice. Overall it addresses everything that you could need for snowboarding or skiing and I highly recommend it. Here are the pros:
- waterproof
- lots of pockets and configured very nicely
- heavy weight for warmth
- vents under arms for warmer days
- oversized hood to fit over helmet
- bright colors!
- zip tech allows you to zip jacket to pants to keep warmer and to keep out snow
- nice cut for shoulder area that allows for good arm motion

There are two issues that I have with it, though:
- it is a bit large. I am 5'6, broad shouldered, and 140lbs, and the XS jacket is very large in the belly area, has baggy sleeves, but fits perfectly in the shoulders. There is no size smaller. Interestingly, the small from Patagonia or Marmot fit me perfectly. I think Volcom needs to redo their sizing. That said, I still like the jacket

- (minor minor issue) there is a hidden ski pass pocket that is right above your left hip. It is a retractable luggage tag-style item that holds you pass. The pass will get bent into an arc after a day on the slopes because it is right where you bend your waist. The pass still works but it can easily stand up on it's side if you were to place it on a table. A better place for this pocket would be on the left arm.
