My boyfriend bought me the Denali for Christmas in a medium (my usual clothing size at 5'5" 130 lbs) and it was HUGE! We returned it and I began the search for something warmer to replace my old coat. I live in Oklahoma and we get it all here -- ice, sleet, snow, rain, extreme wind and all at once, so I wanted something that would block it all out and last me a long time. After reading the reviews, I finally decided on this bad boy in black and I could not be happier! The size guide told me to order a medium, but after trying some other TNF products in store, I decided to go ahead and buy a small instead. I am glad I sized down, it fits perfectly! The sleeves are just right and despite other users reviews, the hood isn't as large as I was expecting. As long as you fold the fur back, you're good to go. This jacket completely blocks out the wind and is SO warm! There are so many pockets and the goggle cloth will definitely come in handy. I also love that the fur and the hood can both be removed. Other reviewers had issues with the color, but mine came as pictured -- all black, inside and out with a subtle herringbone pattern and white logo on the front and back. The fur, however, is not nearly as fluffy and is more grey than pictured...but not a deal-breaker. The jacket is a little more fitted than most winter coats which I also like, but the pit zips do make it a bit more bulky in the midsection. The length is also great (hits below the hips), and the powder skirt helps keep in warmth and keep out the cold! All in all, this is the best coat I have ever owned and I cannot wait to take it skiing!

I, unfortunately, learned the hard way - on a freezing cold snowy ski trip that this hyvent material is NOT waterproof. I was wearing a sopping wet jacket in blizzard-like conditions. Ruined my trip. I got so cold I couldn't go out the next day. Do not buy this jacket or any jacket with that hyvent material - it is NOT waterproof.

Women's Baker Delux

By

Comments about The North Face Baker Delux Jacket - Women's:

Really like this jacket. It seems very warm without making me overheat. I previously owned the Greenland and loved it, but at times I was so warm that I would sweat. The Baker doesn't make me sweat although it's keeping me warm. Very breathable. I purchased the Urchin Purple and love it. It's just the splash of color I wanted. My only negative was the sizing chart. When I put my measurements in, it said I should wear a Large. When the large arrived it was way too big. I was so pleased with the quality I returned it for a Medium.

Comments about The North Face Baker Delux Jacket - Women's:

I bought this for my 5ft 3in daughter for Christmas. The NF service was great, on time, etc. BUT, for a 5ft 3in woman, the sleeves were/are about 4 inches too long for a woman of this size. Cant's understand how the sleeves can be so far out of proportion to the frame of the coat??_...

Comments about The North Face Baker Delux Jacket - Women's:

This jacket is the best I've ever had. so warm, stylish, perfect for upcoming cold winter. very functional. I wear it almost everyday. Not only for snowboarding.
I tried many jackets from North Face, some of them were so NOT worth the price.
It definitely runs a little bit big. I am usually size Small/Medium, depends on a style, but this one , i had to purchase in size x-small. Size small was too baggy. Definitely go size down.

Comments about The North Face Baker Delux Jacket - Women's:

For $300 i was expecting a jacket with some bulk to keep me warm. It was such a thin layer for that kind of money. Not worth $300. Returned immediately upon arrival of product.

Comments about The North Face Baker Delux Jacket - Women's:

This jacket was awesome! I loved the color, and the zip off features. Unfortunately because of the cut it didn't fit in the hips. L was too small Xl was too big. So sad to have to return it!

    Didn't fit well

    By

Comments about The North Face Baker Delux Jacket - Women's:

The medium jacket did not fit well on my 5'2" petite frame. The wrists were too big and too long.

Also, there was an elastic waist band in the interior part of the jacket to keep the cold out but it was uncomfortably tight around my hips.

    Love this coat!

Comments about The North Face Baker Delux Jacket - Women's:

I adore this coat. I read in the reviews that it runs quite large for the regular labelled size- so I usually wear a medium and the size information recommended a small for me. However, I wanted it to be large enough to cover past my hips and to be able to wear a fleece underneath-- medium was the size I got, and perfect for me, though a little boxy in shape. I'm 5'7.5" and just under 120 lbs. If you want a warm coat that's reliable, beautiful, and so warm, this is a great pick.

    Great Coat

    By

Comments about The North Face Baker Delux Jacket - Women's:

Bought this coat in green and love the color. Very nice fit. True to size, if extra cold can put a sweatshirt underneath. Fur on hood is soft and does not itch. Lots of pockets to keep things safe. Lining on the inside is fun. Great purchase!

Well Made, Warm, but VERY BOXY

    By

    from Orlando, FL

Comments about The North Face Baker Delux Jacket - Women's:

I am 5'10" and 140 lbs. I was looking for a warm jacket with a lot of functionality. I ordered a M. It fit the bill with regard to warmth and construction, and TONS of pockets, which is great. Unfortunately, however, it doesn't come close to looking as ladylike and tailored as the one pictured. I wasn't looking for a fitted jacket necessarily, but one with a tiny bit of waist tailoring so it looked like a ladies jacket. I don't think that this one did that. Fur collar was nice.
