The Stance Belay Parka Jacket is the warmest, most heavily insulated jacket made by Black Diamond, built to endure the gnarliest of alpine conditions. Thanks to the Pertex® shell and PrimaLoft® SYNERGY insulation, this jacket provides sleeping-bag level warmth, even when wet. Oversized internal and external pockets let you stash anything and everything you might need to carry such as water or an extra pair of gloves. The Black Diamond Stance Belay Parka Jacket is ready for your grand adventures.
Pertex® Classic Shell 40 Denier 60 g/m2, plain-weave nylon with DWR
PrimaLoft® SYNERGY 80g/m², two layer: PrimaLoft® SYNERGY is an advanced multi-denier continuous filament insulation engineered for superior warmth, softness and loft. Fine and ultra-fine fibers form tiny air pockets that trap body heat and keep the cold out, while creating tight surface tension that resists moisture penetration.
Two Zippered Chest Pockets Standard on nearly all Black Diamond jackets. Easy to access and out of the way of pack straps and harnesses.
Two Internal Drop Pockets A quick-access place to temporarily stash items of nearly any size, the drop pocket is there when you need it and disappears when you don't.
Internal Stretch Media Pocket Despite our best efforts to unplug, technology isn't going anywhere. This is a good place for it to live.
Two Zippered Hand Pockets
Adjustable, helmet-compatible hood
Stretch gusset cuffs
Two-way front zipper

Comments about Black Diamond Stance Belay Parka Jacket:
The pertex shell is super light.. think sleeping bag... So I wouldn't rate it highly when it comes to durability... but this thing is so warm that its not like your gonna be wearing while engaging in aerobic activities... This is no 8000 Meter parka.... but its awesome to put on in the am or night in Josh in the winter... perfect to walk back to the GMD from the Stizmark, great to sit on the porch and winter storm-watch in Tofino...
The DWR is pretty weak... do not expect it to last... then again I'm not really looking at this as "outerwear" piece. Its super cozy and warm... Riding up from SnowPark to Rock Creek Lodge on a snow mobile - perfect... You a lifty? - perfect under your 5 year old resort provided uniform. Walking the dog or sitting in the stands at a winer game - perfect.
No pow skirt... would have been nice to have a small/light weight one just to keep in heat.
Still prefer a down sweater with a good 3ply shell when its frigid and need bombproof protection from water and abrasion.
Your wife dream of the Stay Puff marshmallow man in orange - this is your jacket:-)
