Tested and it works

from New Jersey, USA

Comments about Smith Gage Helmet:

Helmet fits great and doesnt move, I just wish the earpads were not so stiff and had better coverage in the back of the neck. That being said, i fully tested this helmet on my 6th day of riding on an east coast ice day. Landed heelside off a jump, smashed the back of my head the hardest i ever have. I was down for the count but not out. Little bit of vomit, sleepiness, and foginess. Without this helmet I wouldve been in a helicopter. I hit so hard my I/O google frame imprinted into the styrofoam above my right eye. Again I hit the back of my head, not the front. The styrofoam looked as though it shifted in the shell also. Audio works great and i dont find the wind to be any issue. I immediately bought another one. I vouch for this helmet. $80 can save you thousands upon thousands and possibly your life.

If God wore a helmet...

from Gunma,

Comments about Smith Gage Helmet:

What a great helmet. My first time out with the Gage, it was a scorching hot day, but my head was kept nice and cool all day long. Actually, I didn't even realise I was wearing it, it's so light and comfortable. Very compatible with Oakley goggles (in my case, the Splice model), and no fogging from the heat at all. And to add more on top of that, it's very stylish. Only one small bad point, when I talk to my friends on the slopes, I have a kind of echo-effect in my ears, but maybe that's just my weird ears. So to round up, if God wore a Helmet, he would wear a Smith Gage; stylish, functional, lightweight... and its has that cool echo-effect, as if God himself is talking :D

Comments about Smith Gage Helmet:

So-- Snow? Sure. Just not on the slopes. Not for me. I'm a champion for you winter-sporters out there, but after a lifetime of punishment and damaged spine doing other sports, I can't afford the risk (or the mountain trips and lift ticket) I do ride the bike every day, though-- and I wanted to find a great cold weather helmet-- and as it turns out I found my new all-season cranium can. Sylistic AND safe is how I feel wearing this. The fit is the best I've had and the design is the best I've seen. The removable audio ear pads are a great touch, and I wanted ear covers period, so the audio compatibility factor was icing on the cake. The fact that the Gage has been constructed to meet the EN1078 safety specs for pedal bike helmets was the clincher. (Even if there's an argument that prior helmet standards of Snell B-90 were better-- a good fitting helmet will always out perform one's skull) Given the limited cycling helmet choices out there, I sure was glad to find this one. Nice job, Smith.
