Comments about Red Hi-Fi Helmet:

I bought this helmet in December 2009 and have been wearing it for over 10 days of snowboarding in Tahoe and 4 days in Whistler.

When I initially ordered it, I got a size small, but that wouldn't even fit onto my head. I exchanged it for a size medium and it fit my head snugly...a little too snugly sometimes. This is my only real complaint about the helmet: I don't know if it's the padding or what, but after wearing it for a few hours, the upper right side of my head starts hurting from the pressure. EVERY time I wear the helmet, my head ends up hurting in the same place. After the first few times, it seemed like the inner liner packed out and I didn't notice the pain until the end of the day...annoying, but I can live with it.

It's been warm enough for most days, except for one day in Whistler when it was in the low teens (Fahrenheit). Ventilation is decent and I haven't gotten too warm while wearing the helmet. I was surprised that the passive vents would work as well as they did.

I would recommend this to a friend, but only if they try on the different sizes beforehand.
