POC Receptor Bug Helmet: To make the Receptor Bug Helmet, POC has taken the most advanced free ride helmet out there, Receptor+, and altered it specifically for snow sports. The double overlapping shell system lets air in and heat out but keeps sharp objects on the outside. Ventilation can also be closed for cold days. An advanced outer shell makes for a tough and durable construction and provides excellent protection with help from the in-mold liner in polycarbonate and EPS. The included “bankers brim” boosts the style.

      I use this helmet for all sorts of things. I do a lot of roller derby and this helmet makes me feel so safe. It's just an added boost of confidence. This also makes me dish out the hits as hard as I take them. I would for sure recommend this helmet to anyone not sure if it is worth the purchase. I would get this helmet on [@] due to their high level of customer service.

        Great, protective helmet. Very comfortable. Bought for my 9 year old son after 2 concussions. Only problem is goggle holder does not stay on which makes it hard to use goggle. Need to buy the POC goggles which are a littel pricey. Helmet gives me some peace of mind.

          I use this helmet anytime I go downhill skiing.
          It feels so light, I barely notice it's on. Plus, Don't have to wear a hat underneath, because it's insulated pretty well.

          So far, nothing really not great about it.

            I was hesitant to get a POC helmet having never seen one on the slopes or in a store. But I read the reviews which said that POC helmets were race quality protection, so I bought one. Fit is about right for stated size, the fit pack works to customize the helmet, all parts of the helmet are well made and durable. What amazed me most was the awesome ventilation, which is far better than even the Smith Variant. I have yet to get a hot head and I always get hot, so very impressive ventialtion system. I was so satisfied with POC helmets that I bought two more, one for my wife and one for my daughter. The POC Bug is best helmet I have ever owned.
