Giro Shiv Helmet: The Giro Shiv Helmet taps into the clean, utilitarian shape of skate buckets from years ago, but brings some stealthy tech to the table. In Mold construction keeps it super light and the interior subliner lets you run your goggle inside your lid. The Giro Shiv Helmet is the choice for almost all of Giro’s snow team.
Vents
8 Super Cool vents with Weatherstrip™ vent plugs: these vents pull cool, fresh air into the helmet while pushing heat and stale air out. By maximizing efficiency and optimizing vent shapes, the collective cooling power of Super Cool vents helps to regulate your core temperature and keep you feeling fresh all day.
Goggle Compatibility
The Interior subliner allows you to run your goggle inside the helmet which is especially useful on park runs.
Adjustability
The Fit Kit™ pad system allows you to dial in your fit using different thickness comfort pads on the interior of the helmet. Just pull the hook and loop backed pads out and swap them for the thickness you need.
Additional Features
Compatible with all after market TuneUps systems
In-mold construction: fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet’s impact absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows Giro to sculpt better ventilation systems, so In-mold helmets can be lighter and cooler than traditional helmets
Interior subliner: This allows you to customize your pads or pull them out completely for the ultimate in rider tuned fit. A soft Hook-and-Loop Fastener free fabric is laminated to the EPS foam on the inside of the helmet to make the fit more comfortable if you want to remove the padding to accommodate a beanie or goggle strap
Super Fit™ Engineering is the foundation of Giro’s product design process. Every new Giro product is designed with reference to their database of anatomic measurements and rider input. They then test the design repeatedly in the lab and in the hands of riders so they can gather feedback and make refinements to create a final product that fits and performs at the highest level.

      Comments about Giro Shiv Helmet:

I ski about 100 times out of the year and do some crazy stuff. if it weren't for this helmet i would probably be pretty messed up. i've landed on my head countles number of times and i hardly felf a thing. this helmet is by far the best helmet i've ever used. it fits well, it looks good, you can put a beanie under it, you can listen to music, and it very protective. By far the best helmet!

                Comments about Giro Shiv Helmet:

I admit it, I'm kind of girly when it comes to buying my first snowboarding gear, and I didn't want a plain helmet. The iridescent diamonds on white are the perfect flair to be fun, but not obnoxious. The helmet was super warm with no beanie, and I liked that i can adjust inside to fit with a hat or with just my head. I do have a slight issue with the sizing. a M was too small, and the L is a tiny bit big, but is much more comfortably than my head being squeezed, and it fits nice and snug with a hat. I agree with the other viewer about the padding being kind of a pain to adjust and the vents being kind of annoying if you need to put them in or remove them while on the mountain. Its super light though, and you almost forget your wearing it. I'm also excited to get good enough to wear earphones in the ear pads. I think that's a cool addition. Evo has a great price on them too.

Foam inner is a pain to adjust, no ideas what to do w/ "ventilation Barriers", but the white color looks ill , fits decent and hopefully is preventing (further) brain damage)
