      Comments about Giro G9 Helmet:

First helmet and glad I made the choice. I thought I would notice the weight and bulk, but I do not. Goggles fit well with the helmet. Easy to adjust and keep lining in or out to control temp. Would buy again.

        Comments about Giro G9 Helmet:

Decided to finally get a helmet after years of skiing. I was worried that it would be too uncomfortable and hard to get used to. However, because of the adjusting wheel at the posterior base of the helmet, you are able to get a very comfortable fit. It is lightweight, yet warm in sub freezing temperatures. In order to open the vents, you would need to remove the pads, which I did not choose to do. On days when it was slightly warmer, I left the pads in. Yes, it is probably easier to just push a lever to move the pads open or shut, but that feature was found in more expensive helmets and I don't think it was really worth it to go to the added expense.I can't imagine skiing without a helmet now. Almost immediately on the first try, I forgot I was even wearing a helmet.

          Comments about Giro G9 Helmet:

Old dogs can learn new tricks. I learned to ski 30 yrs ago and last skied 20 yrs. ago. No one wore helmets then. I was skeptical about how comfortable a helmet could be and resisted the idea of wearing one. What a pleasant surprise! The helmet was warm (but ventilated enough so as to not be too warm), it was as comfortable as a hat (if not more so!), and my goggles fit perfectly with it. The best part came when I took the biggest fall of my skiing career. Had it happened 20 yrs ago with no helmet, I would have been taking a ski patrol sled down the mountain. Instead, it was just a good thump that I was able to shake off and then return to skiing.

Awesome - Lightweight, comfortable, warm and dry while providing the protection I need to be confident on the mountain. The thermal cap stayed in my pocket in all but the most bone-chilling weather! Worked great with my goggles.
