The helment itself is well built, light weight, and should be comfortable if sized up when approaching size upper bound. Bought this for my wife. Her head measurement (correcly measured and with testing on other brands too) falls within size S (about 1.5 cm below upper bound). However, the Giro is shaped more narrow and long than the other brands, causing the sides to pinch down on her head while the front and back still have room to spare. Sizing up to M will make it fit, though will create maybe too much room at front and end. Had to return and get a Smith which is rounder and fits better. So, do take into consideration of your head shape, as well as circumference.

My boyfriend gave this to me and couldn't be any happier. It's a perfect fit and looks cool too. As a beginner snowboarder, I was a natural at falling :). It probably prevented a head injury when I took a bad spill and whiplashed the back of my head into an icy spot.

I recently purchased this for a Cub Scout trip snow tubing at a local mountain. Initially, I wasn't looking forward to wearing it but we had made a family decision to wear helmets (my husband is on blood thinners) so not wearing one wasn't an option. Once we arrived at the tubing park I was glad I had a helmet because every surface was ice. This helmet fit well, was more comfortable than wearing a winter hat, warm, and made me feel safe. The ear flaps are covered in soft fleece as is the chin strap. The small fit me perfectly but I had tried on other Giro helmets at a store so I knew what size I was looking for before I ordered. I plan on using this helmet in the future instead of a hat while ice skating, skiing, and other snow tube trips. It is truly that comfortable!

Love this helmet. Great fit. Has probably saved a number of brain cells from certain death as I tend to forget to look where I'm going. Cool pattern on the outside. Goggle clip works great.

So here's the thing. I bought this helmet to use while riding my bike, and I was so excited to get it because it had excellent reviews and looked so much more stylish than any other bike helmet out there. I was surprised to find that it isn't a bike helmet at all-it's a ski helmet! It was never specified as such on the website! I don't do much skii-ing and so maybe to other people that much would be obvious. But to me anyway it looked pretty structurally indistinguishable from any other normal bike helmet.

I still use for riding, even though the pamplet that came with it says it isn't designed for that. It's the same kind of hard plastic-coated styrofoam in other bike helmets, though. It's going to be fantastic this winter when it gets cold up here in Boston, but during the summer, it sure makes your head sweaty! So buyer beware of that.

In all other areas-style and comfort, it's excellent. Very sturdy. I'm a big fan of the gear-system that tightens the helmet around your head in addition to the chin straps. Cozy black faux-fur lined. I couldn't imagine a better helmet for winter sports. All in all, a secure and jazzy helmet! If only the fur lining were removable, it would be perfect for me...

I found this helmet to be really easy to adjust, comfortable and stylish. I also like that it provides plenty of ventilation. Even though it fit really well, the surrounding helmet looked really big, but when you consider what it's protecting it shouldn't be much of an issue. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Fit is great and is adjustable if I want to wear a small cap in the colder temperatures, nice color graphics on the back of the helmet.

I like it because the helmet is able to be adjustable when I want to wear a small cap under it or loosen when not. I like how my goggles fit nicely under the front of the helmet. Awesome graphics and colors on the back of the helmet for a women. Bottom line Giro knows how to make a great helmet!

This helmet is by far the best fitting helmet I have ever owned! The adjustability of this helmet makes for a snug fit that I can trust, yet it is extremely comfortable and warm--even on the icy/windy days on the slopes. I hope to never need another helmet again... and when I do, I plan to purchase this exact one again!!!!

This helmet is comfortable and very cozy. I like the removable earflaps, they're soft and keep my ears warm. It seems pretty substantial, but I hope I never have to use it for its intended purpose. Point of vanity- I took the helmet off after wearing it for about 6 hours, my hair looked great. I would buy this helmet again if I needed to.
