Do yourself a favor and get a good lid. I like bern because of the eps liner, think less bulk, sure a helmet is a helmet and they do one thing well (hopefully). Protect your pretty little head! In the case if the bern Watts it looks good feels great and since you can pop out the winter liner it also doubles as a dirt jump lid, two for one!
The adjustment knob is really easy to use even when you are riding and trying to keep up with your kids. I have yet to take a digger in this helmet but, I have no doubt at all that it will work as it is designed to.

I'm a female with a 55 cm head. The S/M is for 54-57 cm, so with the adjustable size I thought this would fit perfectly. It was way too big, and actually fit my boyfriend's ~57 cm head much better; I also had a female friend with a ~56 cm head try it on and it too was too big. :/ Is there vanity sizing going on with helmets these days?

On an aside, the picture makes the green look more "minty" but the reality is a bright neon green, which was cool.

Big Lid for a Giant Noggin

Comments about Bern Watts EPS Helmet:

For the 1% of the skiing population with gigantic craniums, it's hard to find a commercially available helmet that will fit, and nearly impossible at a rental shop. This helmet has been widely reviewed as positive for large-size requirements, and it does live up to billing. I am at the ragged edge of their max size for head circumference, so I was disappointed to find that the helmet fits OK without the winter liner in, but gets squishy and uncomfortable when I put in the winter liner. I'm beating and smushing the helmet to achieve a fit, which ideally wouldn't be necessary. Still, the price was appropriate and it is the largest size option that I have found, so I can recommend it to other folks out there with alien-like cranial dimensions.

Comments about Bern Watts EPS Helmet:

Snowboard use. Sweet color helps you be picked out on the slopes. Fit is strange, I highly recommend you go out to a shop and try these on. I have a big head and the XXL/XXXL size barely fits, I had to modify the chin strap to make it fit right. The options for liners is confusing and availability is sporadic, different liners change the sizing of the helmet too. Lacks front vents. strange play with goggles, no gap though.

I haven't used the helmet yet as there was little to no snow in the Sierra range during the 2014-2015 season, new helmet was purchased in March, 2015 & I like the orange color.

This is a great helmet! It is light, low profile and comfotrable. The only problem I have is that my Smith goggles are not a great fit. They are just a little to tall and push the helmet up a tad. I'm not sure if it is the design of the helmet...
