I am an avid skier who loves to ski double black diamond mogul runs, and backcountry terrain. Wherever there are pillow lines, big chutes, and drops, and deep powder you will find me! I bought this Bern Baker Hard Hat, back in October. I have not regretted the purchase at all! The helmet was very affordable and comfortable to wear. I was looking to revamp my outfit in general and I was considering buying a new helmet. I had seen a couple of my friends with these helmets, but I never thought much of them in the way of performance, I just thought they were meant to look cool. However as I researched them, I realized that they are very functional in their design, and happen to have a stylish appeal as well as good protection. I really enjoy the knit liner because it is much better suited to keep my head and ears warm than previous helmets I have owned. Also the visor creates a seamless connection with my Spy Soldier goggles, so there is no need for the gaper look. I have not really tested to see how well this helmet protects my fall in a yard sale, but I hope I never do! The only complaint I might have; is the lack of ventilation. But I have really never had a problem with it while I have been skiing. In addition, because it has no vents, you don't need to worry about getting snow in your helmet when you have a gnarly fall! So in some ways you could count this too as a pro!

I am a whitewater raft guide. I bought this helmet primarily for the visor, which is great. It helps keep the sun off my face on the river and makes it so I don't have to wear a hat underneath, which is a bit bulky.
However, my secondary reason for this specific helmet was the awesome green color. Who doesn't want to look like those famous crime fighting turtles? Well problem is the very first time I smack my head on a rock the paint starts coming off. So now it is all green and black. Lame. Also, the padding is a bit thick and makes my already large noggin look like a lollipop.

after knocking myself out too many times, i decided that maybe a helmet wouldn't be so lame after all. This helmet fit my head and my budget. I like the way it can also be used year around buy just taking the ear muffs off.

This helmet not only looks good but also does what it is designed to do (protect your skull)....perfect highly recommend but be sure to try for fit as I had to go up a size from what I wear with other brands....

I got the Bern Baker Hardhat this year and it's the best helmet I've ever had. I ride in the park all day and have never had a problem with it. It feels good and looks good. It's goggle compatible and the visor is a nice touch, it helps reduce the goggle gap. I've never had a serious crash with it, but it's held up great against minor bumps.
