      These pick up water better than paper towels. Seriously, if you don't treat re-treat and repeat treating with scotch guard or weather proofing, expect to lug around wet soppy gloves. If you are like me and are used to NOT treating gloves made with gore-tx (or other), you'll find yourself on a ski tour without scotch guard. Less of a concern is that the leather does not breathe, but I take my gloves off on the chair, anyways. I ski mostly in Utah and the Sierras. On a positive note, the gloves are warm with good grip when sufficiently water proofed with chemicals.
