    I was caught in a winter rain storm for my commute home about a week before I purchased the Gore-Tex gloves. Two thirds of my way home, the ski gloves I was using prior to this delightful Gore-Tex pair had become water logged and had inflated to nearly double their dry size.

    I've been out in a handful of subsequent winter storms (slushy/freezing rain though no plain rain yet), and have been happy to have dry and warm hands. The gloves work well for me on my bicycle down to the 15-20F range with the use of a merino glove liner. By 15F, wind chill is sufficient that my fingertips start to chill after an hour or so riding. My bicycle's hand controls remain easily accessible.

    I'm not generally a huge fan of white, but believe that these gloves must help increase the visibility of my hand signals for turns after dark.
