Patagonia Pipe Down Jacket: The Patagonia Pipe Down Jacket is a classic down jacket by virtue of its cold-stopping insulation and an ally for steep fall lines thanks to its descent-oriented features. The warm Patagonia Pipe Down Jacket has a compressible layer of 600-fill-power down (the fixed helmet-compatible hood is insulated, too) and chevron quilting throughout minimizes bulk and keeps the down from shifting when your body's in motion.

  • Material:A 100% microdenier polyester ripstop shell has Patagonia’s Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish to stop moisture and increase durability. A soft lining made from 100% all-recycled polyester glides smoothly over layers; pit zips keep you ventilated.
  • Tech Features:Fleece at the collar protects your neck from overhead blowback, and the stretchy, removable powder skirt seals out snow at the waist and has webbing loops that connect to any Patagonia Ski/Snowboard pants.
  • Style Features:Pocket rundown: two handwarmers, a left chest (holds an audio device) and an interior zippered stash.

    Bought the jacket in advance of a trip to Russia. Temp. hit at least zero part of the time I was there. Jacket was warm and comfortable without being bulky. So far it wears well and has design features that show someone put thought into it (example: breast pocket that is great for money and passport).
