Comments about Burton AK Flare Down Jacket - Women's:
I bought this jacket in black (at a different website, but since they didn't have a review sdection, wanted to help out anyone else who might be interested). Love the plum color lining inside!
It is super soft like wearing a marshmellow, and I've only worn it outside so far, not to snowboard yet, but seems like it'll be superwarm. I like that the down filling isn't puffy and bulky. And the jacket is also pretty light too. Was glad to find something both warm and goretex waterproof, since a lot of the goretex jackets I looked at were more lightweight shells.
The body fit seems true to size, slightly relaxed snowboard jacket style which is just how I like the jacket to fit...But still feminine and not boxy which is a major plus.I like the length is a little longer in the back so it covers my butt for the lift ride and for closing bindings, but not so long that it looks ridic, which a few of the longer style jackets do.... Although, one complaint about the fit is that the arms are a bit too long, and so the thumb loops are a little too loose on me.
Major downside, which also prevented me from getting jacket would be the lack of inside pockets. That's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I notice the AK 3L Haven, which evo also sells, has a zipper pocket inside, but since I already have this before I noticed that I will keep this one.
