A very aged, quilted shirt kept dad warm during the winter months for many years, but it was time for a new one. Being right after Christmas I could not find one ANYWHERE (half the time the youngster beind the counter did not even know what I was talking about, "A quilted, flannel shirt?"). On line I found a couple from 2 different stores and they were purchased. Lucky for me both arrived quickly, in time as a birthday gift for a 93 year old retired physician that could purchase anything he wanted, making it difficult to find him something he might actually want/need/use.....well, I cannot get it off him to wash it (he lives with me~daughter~at this time in his life).....he has worn it everyday for several weeks until I told him it HAD to be washed...and it came out of the washer and dryer good as new. He especially likes the pockets that are large enough to securely put his wallet, not afraid of losing it. Very attractive and warm --a GREAT buy for a birthday gift when I was scratching my head, wanting to buy him something he would like (he does not choose to wear the other 3 quilted flannels he has). In his own words, "It is protective against the wind and it is scenic, easy to put on." At age 93 there are sometimes difficulties for him, trying to button clothes, I have not had to help him once put this on. Thank You !!!!
