I absolutely love the Dakine Recon Backpack. Mine is black and gray striped. I use it almost everyday. The fleeced lined sunglasses pocket is a very protective spot to keep my sunglasses. The wetsuit pocket is great for wet sailing clothing or wetsuits. I took the Recon traveling through Brazil and could easily tuck my plane tickets and passport into the wetsuit pocket which opens right against my back inaccessible to others. I also use the wetsuit pocket when it is dry to store my laptop. The wetsuit pocket is large and padded against my back. My only complaint is that there are so many pockets that I once forgot about some sunscreen in the wax pocket and had it confiscated at airport security. The Dakine Recon Pack is super functional, overall, it is a awesome backpack.

Bag is great for carry on - it fits within the new, strict USA size guidelines. However, I worry about putting things next to the magnet-closure pocket since so much of the ID that I use to travel contains some sort of electronic device.

Also, though it's stated that there's a "removable wetsuit pocket", mine didn't have one. There's a pocket on the back for a wetsuit, but I'm not sure how water-tight it is (and it's definitely not removable).

Lots of good little pockets though.

I use the product for short trips and surfing. It is even roomier than I thought. The wetsuit compartment is awesome, it is great for a wetsuit or to keep your wet baggies and towel or stinky shoes separated from your clothes. The pocket for sunglasses is great, it keeps them from geting scratched. Bottom entry to the main compartment is really convenient when it is packed full of clothes. Overall, just a great back pack!
