Comments about DaKine Heli-Pro Pack Large:

My first experience with this backpack occurred when I borrowed this pack from a friend for a week long ski trip in the Canadian Rockies. I originally intended to use it solely for carrying my skis on my pack as I hiked up to the peaks unreachable by the nearest chairlift. I must say, it served its purpose very well. This back held my skis firmly to my back as I trekked up the side of the mountain in search of untouched powder. The weight of my fat skis was evenly distributed among my back, making the hike as painless as possible. After reaching the peak, I stepped into my skis, dropped the cornice, and entered the bowl of perfect powder.
It was not until later on that I realized I was still wearing the backpack. The pack clung to my back perfectly, and while I was skiing I didn't even notice that I was wearing it. Previously, I had been reluctant to wear backpacks and ski, but this pack changed my perspective. I found myself wearing it throughout the ski trip, using it to carry my avalanche shovel, skis, probe and lunch.
After returning from the trip, I parted with the pack and immediately took action to order my own. I have not regretted it since. This backpack is strong, light and comfortable. It has many handy pockets and compartments for storing just about everything you need on the mountain. It has room for all of the avalanche gear you need, including a beacon. It carries both skis and snowboards with ease and comfort. In addition, it's just about the coolest looking backpack on the market today. I was very pleased with this product. I also use this pack to go to school, bike around town, and carry things with my while commuting. The only people I would NOT recommend this pack for is people who plan to carry more than a day's worth of equipment in their pack, or people who intend on storing an extra jacket or something of equal bulkiness inside while skiing. If you're looking for an all-use day pack, this is your best bet!

Comments about DaKine Heli-Pro Pack Large:

Ok let me just tell you that this backpack is amazing. First off it looks amazing...i have the brown and fairway plaid one and i get lots of comments on how cool it looks. Second it can hold quite a bit of stuff. I can carry extra layers, sandwiches, and drinks with room left over. My camelbak fits perfectly and i love how the tube is nice and insulated. I havent carried a snowboard with it but it carries my skis comfortably and easily. I have also used this backpack for mountain biking and it works great for that and for the daily commute to work. So if you're looking for a stylish backpack that can do it all, this is the perfect backpack for you.

        Service and delivery comments:

The only complaint that i have about delivery is that when the backpack arrived it reeked terribly of cigarette smoke and i had to put a bunch of dryer sheets in it and used a bunch of febreze and it still took about 3 or 4 days for the smell to go away.

Comments about DaKine Heli-Pro Pack Large:

This bag is amazing. Skied out in Montana wih this pack for a week. Its more of a day style bag, we put our water bottles, sunscreen, goggles, gloves, and a extra sweat shirt in them. They were comfortable right out of the box and didnt need to be broke in. When skiing you wont know its there except when you are sitting on the chair lift. This pack is a amazing... i use it for everything.

I skied with this pack for 6 days in Utah. I carried my lunch in it, and my drinks. Other than it being awkward haveing it on, while getting on the chair lift, it was fantastic. While I was skiing, I never knew I had it on.
