      I got this pack because my other packs were too big and bulky for the morning bike commute to work or as a manageable carry-on for airlines. I now use it for nearly everything. It's got a main pocket that is big enough to carry the day's worth of stuff and then some without being huge and bulky. Laptop sleeve, fleecy pocket for shades, special pockets for ipod, phone, keys, and even an insulated pocket for a couple of cold ones. Dakine rules!

      The only beef I have with it is that once you load it with tons of stuff, it's a bit uncomfortable in the straps, but it can manage a lot before that happens.
