Bought this for day-trips into backcountry (cat skiing). Found that it also works really well at resorts for packing an extra layer, snacks, goggles, etc. The avalung mouth piece is easy to reach when powder skiing. If you are going through some deep pow, then the avalung makes it easy. I use a balaclava and the breathing through it made it an awesome experience flying through the powder. There is also room to add a camel-pack and feed it through the other shoulder strap. This is a great value buy and has multi-purpose uses.

The pack is great for what it was designed for. There's room for your probe, shovel (barely), water, a little food and maybe a gopro. Not much else. You can try to cram things in it, but the zips won't let you. I've been able to fit my shell in it on hot days, but seriously, nothing else.

That's nice for those of us who just need a pack for the essentials. I had a dakine heli pro prior to this, and I always seemed to have too much room for stuff I didn't need. But with this new pack, I bring just what i need, I'm able to sit on the lifts comfortably, I don't snag any trees on the extra straps, and I have an avalung!

So the good thing is its small, functional, comfortable, and minkmalistic.

Cons would be, nothing more than a day pack, no external straps except the ski carry, the shoulder straps won't get as tight as I like, and the chest buckle is a little hard to use sometimes. I wish the waist straps were a little thicker, instead of just being two little straps, there's room to make them wider and more comfortable with even maybe a pocket down there. There's only really one zip up pocket.

Used this pack for day trips through east vail chutes. Very comfortable with a low profile; hardly knew it was there sometimes. Only drawback is size, it is very small and I had a hard time fitting my skins in with my avy gear, water, etc. overall very satisfied with the product, however, would probably consider getting the next size up.

Great bag, you can fit a suprising amount in, remember you can get more spacious pack with more ski carry options, and if you got fat ski you have to negotiate them in, ut you can get them in
