Tecnica Agent AT Ski Boots 2009: AT, means All Terrain, and let’s get real—all terrific. That’s right folks, the Agent AT Ski Boots for 2009 are pulling the rug out under what we understood to be the limits in ski technology. Amping the charge for greatness is the Rockered Sole that gives you flexible shock absorption, saving your knees from gnarly landings. It also helps you shred a more efficient, technical carve. The UltraFit Heat-Moldable Liner responds to your body heat and correspondingly contours to the geometry of your foot. These boots give the skier insane comfort all day with 3 Density Construction, Polyether Heel Lugs, and Bi-Injected Polypropylene. Lord have mercy, they’re even crampon compatible—hello back country hiking tour! Think Tecnica Agent AT Ski Boots for the cutting edge (ski edge of course) of technology for all mountain durability and comfort.

  • Tecnica Agent AT Videos
  • 3D Shell Contruction:A sweet combo of soft and hard plastics placed strategically throughout the boot so you get comfort when touring and quick response and full energy transfer when shredding.
  • Rear Spoiler Adjust:The rear spoiler can be adjusted to various height positions to accommodate alpine touring.
  • F.I.T. System Tongue:The FIT system tongue is designed to move with the leg and shin while the boot is being flexed. The base of the tongue is attached to the liner with an elastic material that allows the whole tongue to slide. Contact is maintained between the shin and tongue, providing a precise and comfortable fit and reducing any uncomfortable pressure.
  • SuperFit Liner:Thermaforable pad conforms specifically to your foot while the ethafoam conforms to the boot, so you get a high performance, highly comfortable fit.; Forward Lean: Yes

Comments about Tecnica Agent At Ski Boots 2009:

When I use the boots in resorts, I just adore the comfort when standing/walking/skiing as well as the stiffness when doing tight turns. My feet never feel tired after a full day of skiing in them. My toes have plenty of space and although some people don't like that, it keeps me comfortable and warm (they can wiggle), but more to that in the AT mode.

When I go BackCountry: The plastic on the foot arch behind the fitting is rubbing in walking mode. It created a blister on only one foot (about 1" in diameter). I then tightened the boot and this reduced the rubbing significantly. This is a shame, as I was very spacious to start off with. The toe space is definitely a bonus for me. It keeps them breathing and adds comfort when hiking uphill for 4-5hours.

Summary: I really enjoy the boot despite the blister issue. They are light & stiff & comfortable. Maybe they can get the plastic/fitting part fixed for the next version?!

Comments about Tecnica Agent At Ski Boots 2009:

I rocked an overnight touring trip with these boots out of the box (I do have footbeds). No blisters, they climbed nicely, and skied well. Although it was hard to tell how they performed because I did have a 35lb backpack on... they're not as stiff as my agent 120 alpine boots, but they shouldn't be. Felt like a 90-100 flex level fully buckled. The removable liner is super nice around camp. I have a narrow foot, and technicas fit me well.

Comments about Tecnica Agent At Ski Boots 2009:

These are great boots with a wide toe box but great ankle grip. I had mine fitted with a custom footbed. I skiied them for 3 days on NH hardpark, in bounds and they rocked with a mid fat stiff ski. Will take them off piste next week in CO with my Dynastar Legend Mythic Riders and Fritschis. Very comfortable and warm. A clear upgrade from my Lowa Strukturas, this new Lowa in Tecnica clothing is a worthy successor. If you have narrow feet or need a near alpine boot perhaps look at some of the 4 buckle competitors

Comments about Tecnica Agent At Ski Boots 2009:

These boots are really comfortable and have incredible easy entry and exit. They are lightweight and flexible, i love hiking up in these babies. The only con i have noticed is that it does get tight in the ankle going down steeps. They are wide comfy boots, so if you need a spacious boot , these are a great choice.

Comments about Tecnica Agent At Ski Boots 2009:

I thought I could use these on piste (or for minor hiking) but the boot just doesn't give enough support compared to a traditional boot. But for a hike up East Castle or the Backcountry, they can't be beat. My personal beef is with the release to make walking easier. It is nightmare to re-engage it. So there you are at the top; wind blowing and getting cold struggling with the !@(#% boot trying to get back into a skiing mode. They should provide a video providing step by step directions so we all don't have to figure out exactly where the boot needs to be to "catch" the lock for skiing mode. The second issue is to remember that these are thin boots with thin liners. Tell you bootfitter to make changes to the shell; there isn't enough liner to adjust well enough to make it comfortable.
