Product Info

Fritschi Diamir Freeride Pro Bindings w/ 108mm Brakes (Medium) 2011: Taking freeride performance to the backcountry has never been easier. The Fritschi Diamir Freeride Pro Bindings combine the wide-bodied power transmission of an alpine binding with Fritschi's new Gliding Technology for a smooth, natural stride. On the skin track, Gliding Technology eases your ascent by eliminating that hinge-like, tiptoe feeling. The Fritschi Diamir Freeride Pro's wide footprint and toepiece hinge provide a larger footprint than previous Fritschi bindings, giving you improved power to drive powerful, wide-bodied skis. Performance, meet efficiency.

Product Details

Gliding Technology

Complete walking comfort without any compromise to safety. The Diamir Gliding Technology makes it possible to construct the binding with an optimally placed rotation point. Because this allows the foot to roll off naturally, walking comfort is substantially enhanced. A moving base place guarantees complete freedom of movement, even in extreme situations where the natural walking angle is exceeded. The Diamir Eagle offers and active safety release, because the binding is equipped with a rotating toe piece. The long elasticity and restoring forces of the springs reduce the risk of unintentional releases.

Axion Technology

Unmatched functionality and safety. With the Axion crampon, the days of risky mounting maneuvers in tough terrain are over. Because the Axion is fastened to the binding right at the start of the tour, it is ready for action at all times. In severe snow conditions before a steep slope or awkward traverse, is can be activated easily with the ski pole, thus offering secure support. Once it is no longer needed, it is just as easy to deactivate. There is no need for the Axion to disappear into the rucksack before the skins come off. The Axion is the only crampon which is so convenient to use and for that very reason is makes a substantial contribution to safety.

Frontal Release

In order to ensure that you only come out of your ski bindings in an emergency, the binding only releases after a long dynamic travel of 13mm. A perfect fit ensures optimum foothold for all normed touring and alpine ski boots

The micro screw allows for precise regulation of contact pressure at continuously variable levels

Four-Level Heel Elevator – The four angles of the heel elevator levels are perfectly coordinated to allow individual adjustment to every gradient when climbing. Changing from walk to downhill ski mode and vice versa is just as quick and simple as changing between walk mode levels. No matter what situation you are in, you can simply change the walk mode level using your ski pole. The Diamir bindings provide excellent lateral stability at every walk mode level so that your movement in the binding ensures a steady step at all times.

TUV & DIN ISO Norms

Durable quality due to premium materials and meticulous workmanship: Diamir binding systems are TUV certified and fulfill the DIN ISO norms 13992 and 9462 for touring and alpine bindings, as well as for touring ski boots according to DIN ISO 9523 alpine ski boots according to DIN ISO 5355.

New PTC Technology

Full downhill performance – What distinguishes the new Diamir Freeride Pro is the latest Power Transmission Control generation. It allows the power to be transmitted mercilessly onto the ski. In other words: PTC is the key to good edge grip along the entire length of the ski. This way the Diamir Freeride Pro achieves a downhill performance that can stand comparison with any high-end alpine binding. Several elements ensure consistent and direct power transmission: At the front, the binding features a wide and torsion-resistant PTC front place, which is further reinforced by a bridge. With its stabilizing profile, the PTC special plate at the rear ensures an optimal power curve. In addition, a stabilizer fixes the PTC end piece, providing significantly higher lateral stability.
