The Salomon Impact 8 Ski Boots are your ticket to tremendous, with customizable layers in the shin and ankle areas to provide a precise and comfortable fit.

  • Sporty liner with thermoformable foam on ankle and tongue for precision and comfort
  • Wide strap for consistent closure thus precision
  • Customizable buckle on the instep to avoid pressure points
  • Single Canting:allows alignment of the cuff and the lower leg. A lateral insert, canting, and canting lock ensure no transmission loss between the cuff and shell.
  • My CF Sport:Thermoformable foam on the ankles and tongue make for a personalized and durable comfort.

    I bought these near the end of last year and used them at Keystone, Copper, and Mary Jane. I'm a 42 yo and stay on primarily blues and blacks. I got them on recommendation from Ski Shop in CoS, and had them heat fitted. I have wide feet, so these work extremely well...not too much flex, and not too stiff--if you've got wide feet, and don't need olympic stiffness, these things are phenomenal...they replaced 2007 Salomon Impact 8s, and have been a significant improvement.

    Out of the box, skied everything black at Sugarloaf. With the "normal" volume foot I'm sportin', it felt sloppy in the toebox but was strangely, crazily, tight just below the calf.

    That said, it's Salomon (which I've been skiing and loving for years) so it's inherently solid. Not happy, not sad. Maybe next year I'll get a dealer to do the custom fitting that's supposed to go along with all their boots.

        These are really great boots for a great deal on Evo. I really don't think you can do much better. In my opinion, Salomon makes some of the best boots out there. I find them to be extremely comfortable and of great quality. As someone else mentioned previously, the toe box on these is just "a little sloppy" ... it's got a little more room than I'd care for. That's my only con. Other than that, these are great!

                    Great all Mountain Boot. I have a narrow foot and chose this boot for the narrow footbed. I could not be happier. Foot stays nice and secure. I wish every boot felt this good. Feet feel great after an 8 hour day!

                          The boots are self-fitted. It took a couple of skiing days for the fitting pads to self-adjust. After that, the boots felt like they were custom fit. Overall, great experience. And, they look great too.
