Product Details

Medium Wide102 mm last with PU Foam boot board for optimal comfort and precision

45 Degree ClosureA 45 degree buckle provides maximum heel retention by locking the heel into the rear pocket of the boot while ensuring forefoot comfort and warmth. It also allows for super easy entry and exit of the boot no matter the temperature!

Adjustable Cuff ProfileNordica's Adjustable Cuff Profile (ACP) allows for a neutral standing position for every leg size, making skiing all day easier and more comfortable no matter what the width of a skier’s leg.

Easy EntryA combined liner and shell design that eliminates the “throat” of the boot allows for easy entry no matter the conditions on the hill or in the lodge.

Dynamic Performance Code 100-2-H100 is on the stiff side of Nordica’s high performance women's boots. // 2x (progression) - the boot stiffness almost doubles at the deepest flexing point. // High (rebound) returns the boot at the highest rate for quick turns and edge change.

Sport Performance Progressive FlexThe stiffness of the boot progressively increases as the boot flexes deeper to amplify power transmission to the ski. The Sport Performance Flex Block ensures the boot provides a very even power delivery from the skier to the ski. The lower portion of the Flex Zone is blocked to ensure that the boot and ski engage quickly, providing security to the new edge right away - critical on harder snow. The upper portion of the flex zone is completely open giving a very low progression and even flex that does not become overpowering for the recreational skier.

Stability Control HingeHinge point is located low and forward to help reduce unwanted feedback from the ski.

New PFP Performance Fit Women's liner with Fur/Tech FurNew hand-stitched liners designed for improved comfort and performance with increased toe area box for enhanced circulation and warmth.

Shell Materials

Three Piece Shell DesignUnlike traditional overlap boot shells that focus on fore and aft retention, Nordica’s FireArrow, Transfire and Ace collections use a shell design built to enhance the boot’s lateral precision. Increased lateral precision is key for better control of today’s newer, wider and more ambitious ski shapes.

Comments about Nordica Transfire R1 Ski Boots - Women's 2014:

Since I am the technical person in the family, I have become the family boot-fitter. Versus other product lines, I like the FireArrow and Transfire product because they have more features. Such as , the flap that is over the shell split. My wife has large muscular calves and had to use the Nordica Cruise 85. The Cruise line lacks the added flap over the boot split and while the Cruise is not a bad boot, the other lines have a little more thoughtful engineering. So to flip the statements, the FireArrow and Transfire lines are for standard to narrow calves , D width to narrow feet, and are VERY comfortable. Wider feet and calves should use other boots. A side note, I was alarmed to discover my wife's Technica Phenix 8 boots were such a standard size fitting boot. The boot-fitter specified these. I don't see how she was able to ski in them all day. I ordered the Transfires for her and the Tecnica boots had a couple millimeters more circumference on the calf, even though the Transfire is purported to be a roomier boot. I gave the Transfires to my niece, fit perfectly. I ordered the Cruise 85 for the wife, used the adjustment cams and she is very happy with the fit.
