I bought this boot for my 5 year old who is now an advanced skier. She skis about 30 days a year and this is already her third pair of ski boots since she started skiing at age 3. This boot has the construction of an adult boot and it fits higher and after 1 day of skiing these I can already tell she is able to better turn the skis on edge and carve her turns better.
As far as the difficulty of entry that others have mentioned, it is true. The boot feels tight on entry and if you pull too much on the tongue it pops out and then you have to work its way back in. Definitely more difficult to put on than most adult 4 buckle boots. But I still recommend it as long as you are willing to help your young kid to put it on.

Great boot for my 12 year old son, fits and feels great on. Alittle narrow but we were lucky because his foot is on the narrow side. Keeps toes warm and nice looking boot.

My 9 year-old skied this boot at Squaw for 10 days. Some complaining about it being tight on day one, but was reviewed as "comfortable" starting day two. Solid performance and warm.

Boot is great for more advanced youth skier. Boot was purposely fit snug for a race fit. If not looking for racing fit or if you're using for a beginning skier I'd recommend going up 1/2 size.
I would say the boot is average at best for warmth given the number of times I've heard "my feet are cold" relative to previous boots.
The boot is relatively stiff so I would recommend for an intermediate or advanced youth skier. Stiffness also means my six year old needs help putting it on almost every time.

Great quality boot, especially for the price. Purchased for my 11 year old son who is a 1st year skier. We ordered 1 size up from where he measured but that was too small and had to go 2 full sizes up. Recommend trying on the exact boot in a store before buying. We tried on a different Lange boot in a store but it didn't run the same. He probably needs to be in an adult width boot but we didn't realize that until too late. Still recommend the boot but be careful about sizing.

My daughter has always worn lange boots. This year, we tried to get her into a different boot because we couldn't find a team 8 to fit her. She skied a few days in the other boot and was miserable. When we got these on evo.com she put them on and has never complained. She told us last week as we headed out to the slopes, "I have the best boots!" Thank you evo.com.
