Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boots 2009: The Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boot is a plug boot built using the powerful RL 11 shell. This shell has the long flex pattern that Lange is famous for, which allows the skier to control how much power is going into the ski. Used for years on the World Cup circuit by Downhill and Super G skiers, the RL 11 shell gets a few tweaks for all mountain skiing. The elastic power strap, shock absorbing toe box and boot board, external gel tongue pad and optional shin laces absorb vibrations and keep the boot comfy. Vibram soles on the Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boots help to keep the sole side down when hiking and dancing.

  • Flex and Fit:The Banshee Pro Boots feature a flex rating of 135 with a 98mm last for a narrow race fit
  • Cuff Shape:Removable plug provides this boot with a progressive range of flex.
  • Materials:4 Alloy buckles with micro adjust
  • Liners:Heat moldable liners for a warm, custom fit.
  • Additional Features:Vibram soles for grip while walking // Elastic power strap for shock absorption, Backcountry safety provided by Recco

Comments about Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boots 2009:

I was lucky enough to be sample size and was able to score a pair of these last January. Skied them all last season. From Snowbird to Snowbasin and finishing up in Whistler the end of April, the boots were near perfect. I have to confess I have been skiing Lange my whole life, and this boot is the best fitting of them all. Buy true to size or 1 shell size smaller than you did in the past, as the new toe box is "not your dad's Lange" much wider.

Comments about Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boots 2009:

slid my Surefoot foam fit liners out of my Lange WC 120's into these bad boys last night. Skied Crystal Mtn with a foot of new Sunday 03/08/09. Crud eaters (they don't collapse) and with the stiffer R11 bottom shell provide power and confidence on edge too. Run your hand with fingers down between the backside of your leg and the liner to get off. Expect some bite. New stretchy power strap is better than past efforts and stays put without riding up. All in all a smoother flex than you would expect for such power. Not a fan of stock liners and the gumby tongue program provides nothing. Pure gimmick. Get foamed once and you'll never go back to stock. These boots will improve your game if you ain't got one yet and make you look darn cool if ya do! At the sale price from Evo its a no brainer. With the money you save go to Surefoot and have em foam up some Conformable Liners.

Comments about Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boots 2009:

These are the best boots i've owned! While I wish i'd ordered them a size smaller and stretched them, I'm learning that they don't need to be totally cranked down to transfer my intentions to the skis. They provide great support in any situation I've had them in- steeps, bumps, and zooming down the groomers for apres. Haven't had a good powder day here in NM to ride them, but sure they will perform. The vibram soles are great for rocky ascents off-piste and through the resort center, and the RECCO reflector is a nice touch, though I hope I never need it.

Comments about Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boots 2009:

Look, boots are very very personal and what is right for one person may not be right for another. As for me, I am still skiing mine 4 yrs later and I ski them hard. I LOVE how they hold my heel. They are a solid and true boot and I have never considered "wishing" I had a diff boot in all these years. Quite honestly, I hope they never change it. The boot takes a bit of time to warm up and mold to your foot. The entry is a not easy for me but then again we dont ski killer terrain for the "ease" of it now do we? My only critique is the buckles. I like to un-buckle for the lift ride up. That means I am opening and closing regularly and when cold it seems the spring mechanism just looses its range. Perhaps thats my bad and a touch of household lubricant would do the trick. In light of how much I LOVE these boots its a small detail to me.

Again, boots are very personal and whats right for one person may not be for another.

Comments about Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boots 2009:

I've been racing in these now for a couple of weeks and they are feeling pretty good. They felt too narrow at first, but as the liners pack-out a bit, the hot spots are going away. The only complaint I have is that the second strap from the top is cut too long, I have to buckle it all the way on the tightest position. The adjustable buckles helped, but it would be nice to be able to get them a little tighter there. Over all, i'm liking these boots.

Comments about Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boots 2009:

Got these right before a trip to the arid mountains of SLC this year. Absolutely zero snow. I was afraid that the 135 flex was gonna kill my legs just cruising groomers and skiing hard-pack crud but it didn't. Surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. At this price a complete steal. Evo has even been kind enough to credit me the difference after they dropped the price on the boots about a month after I purchased. Awesome sauce!

Comments about Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boots 2009:

I was psyched to buy these boots at the price Evo offered, but I've got a wide toebox and they compressed my foot a little too much. The Evo guys suggested they'd be tough to punch out. Great design, though - love the tongue, the buckles, and the grippy, replaceable toe and heel pieces.

Comments about Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boots 2009:

Careful sizing is very important, and patience while customizing. It took me a solid 8 days of painful foot's asleep sensation until the liner broke in a bit. After the boot started feeling more spacious, I put in my thicker, thermo fit orthodics and then aahhhhhhh! If you have quirky feet features, go to see a local boot fitter.
