Comments about Full Tilt Sally Ski Boots - Women's 2009:

These are particularly comfortable with an orthotic designed for skiing. Buy them as recommended as you will have immense ski control if your toes just touch the front when standing upright. They are great for skiing barefoot and keep you warm as well this way.

Comments about Full Tilt Sally Ski Boots - Women's 2009:

My first pair of boots were hand-me-down Langes that were 1-2 sizes too big, yet barely fit around my calf. I am 4'11", and wear a 5.5 shoe, and have always had an issue finding boots (of any sort) to fit around my calf. How big are my calves, you ask... I had trouble getting my heel all the way down into the ski boot, because I couldn't shove my calf down any further when the boot was buckled. Shopping for ski boots that actually fit my foot and calves became a challenge. The Full-Tilts solved for the calf issue very easily, and I noticed a positive difference in my skiing right away. Getting in and out is 100 times easier as well, makes getting ready in the parking lot a lot more bearable. So far so good. Now for the plot twist. When people say Full Tilts are a low-volume boot, they are not kidding. Granted, they come with Intuition liners that can be cooked. But, I have a small, normal, narrow foot and these are snug to say the least. And, the breaking-in process was not pretty. I've since cooked the liners, got custom footbeds, a heel wedge, and now may need to get them punched out a bit around the sixth toe just to make them stop hurting. I ski every single weekend for 5+ months a year, and without fail, these boots kill my feet for the first 3-4 runs of the day. I realize some of this is regular ski boot drama and no boot that fits "well" will ever be really comfortable. But, I was surprised that I had an issue with the narrowness of the boot, because I went in just trying to solve for my calf issue. However, if you have a narrow foot and/or a big calf I would look into these. I do like them, I just wish the breaking in process would have been shorter and less painful.
