Full Tilt High Five Ski Boots 2012: With the Full Tilt High Five Ski Boots your feet will feel so good all over the mountain that you’ll be handing high fives out to total strangers. The 102mm comfort last provides skiers with wider feet the all-mountain performance they demand without having to strangle their feet. Add the Pro Quick-Fit™ liner with Intuition® foam that molds 100% to your feet for maximum power and ankle hold as well as comfort and warmth and you have a combination that can’t be beat.
Materials
Full Tilt Boots are up to 2 lbs lighter per pair than other boots due to a minimalistic shell with no heavy overlapping plastic or bolts and thinner plastic that also increases feel and responsiveness.
Aluminum Buckles with macro ladder & micro twist adjustment
Active Bootboard absorbs the biggest of flat landings, crud vibration, and impact.
Liner
The Pro Liner is Full Tilt’s highest performing Body Heat Activated custom liner. It includes J Bars that create powerful internal ankle hold down and a powerwrap that increases power transfer to the shell.
A combination of EVA foam layers quickly conform and mold to your foot: 4mm Open Cell foam is warm and comfy, 2mm Soft Density cross linked foam in between, and 7mm High Density Closed Cell foam is firm and responsive, to boot… pun intended!
Wide Toe: a thinner foam is used around the front of the liner to give extra space to the widest point of the foot & toes without sacrificing control in the rest of the liner. Great for people with wider feet or who prefer more toe room.
Additional Features
Wrap Strap lower closure & 2 upper cables for even pressure
Easy open tongue opens for easy entry and exit.
Cuff Shape
Traditional boots flex with rivets through the cuff that prevent the boot from engaging in a natural flex. Full Tilt Boots get their flex from the unique 5-ribbed tongue removing the need for rivets through the cuff, allowing for a natural flex. This technology was originally designed by former NASA engineers after working on space boots that needed to take the impacts of jumping 10 feet in the air with 200lb suits on; now tell me that technology isn’t good enough for you.
Flex and Fit
Flex Rating – 6 (1 Softest – 10 Stiffest)
An all-mountain directed #6 flex tongue allows for enough power while highlighting the natural playful flex of the boot. Full Tilt tongues are inter-changeable making it simple to swap flexes on the fly (extra tongues sold separately).
102mm lasted comfort fit

Comments about Full Tilt High Five Ski Boots 2012:

I had the Raichle Flexons when I was a kid, glad to see FT has saved the design! Entry and exit are the best of any boot, nice and wide 102mm last (my shoe size is 10.5, got this in a 27.5, fit is perfect). The progressive flex tongue is great, though they claim that 6 tongue=100 flex, feels more like 90 to me. May look into swapping them out for some more stiffness. Only real gripe is the middle buckle -- the adjustable buckle gets easily hung up on the shell when you close it, so you need to lift and close at the same time. Intuition liners felt tight on day one, skied 3 days and they molded to my feet. I've done a couple short tours on these, and they're almost as light as my Dynafits. Overall I recommend these, though if you want stiffer, check out the Morrisons or Konflicts.

Comments about Full Tilt High Five Ski Boots 2012:

I have tried full tilt boots in the past but since I have a wider foot I have been very uncomfortable till I tried these boots. With the 102mm width this boot alows people with wider feet to the enjoy the great characteristics of full tilt boots without losing comfort.

Comments about Full Tilt High Five Ski Boots 2012:

Extremely unimpressed with this boot. I have a wide foot so went with the High Fives vs the First Chair and it fits great in the mid section of my foot but the toe box area is to small along with the heel area. The other area of the boot I found a lot of issues with is the ankle area. There is so much extra padding with the liner design in this area it becomes uncomfortable even after being custom molded. I would not recommend this boot to anyone who has big feet. Go with a different brand as this brand is designed for people with small feet. One area I can say is nice is the boot is extremely warm and should keep your feet nice and warm in cold conditions.

Great boots which are far more comfortable than the other FT models because it's a standard width! Fun to ride in and felt great on the mountain.
