Full Tilt Boots - Technology

Full Tilt Booter Ski Boots 2012: Love the idea of the 3-piece shell and custom liner found on traditional Full-Tilt models, but have never been able to fit your wider foot into a narrow last? The Full-Tilt Booter Ski Boots bring all the comfort and performance of Full Tilt’s traditional boots into a 102mm last while still light, agile, and nimble. The #4 flex tongue and active bootboards are the perfect compliments everywhere from the park to the back bowls.
Materials
Full Tilt Boots are up to 2 lbs lighter per pair than other boots due to a minimalistic shell with no heavy overlapping plastic or bolts and thinner plastic that also increases feel and responsiveness.
Aluminum Buckles with macro ladder & micro twist adjustment
Active Bootboard absorbs the biggest of flat landings, crud vibration, and impact.
Liner
The Performer Liner is the lightest liner in the Full Tilt line. It features authentic Intuition® foam in the liner to mold 100% to your feet and ski boot . . . an industry first for the price!
A combination of EVA foam layers quickly conform and mold to your foot: 2mm Soft Density cross linked foam for quick mold, 4mm Open Cell foam is warm and comfy, and 7mm Medium Density Closed Cell foam transfers energy, to boot… pun intended!
Wide Toe: a thinner foam is used around the front of the liner to give extra space to the widest point of the foot & toes without sacrificing control in the rest of the liner. Great for people with wider feet or who prefer more toe room.
Additional Features
Loud graphics that embody the spirit and fun of skiing’s neon history.
Wrap Strap lower closure & 2 upper cables for even pressure
Easy open tongue opens for easy entry and exit.
Cuff Shape
Traditional boots flex with rivets through the cuff that prevent the boot from engaging in a natural flex. Full Tilt Boots get their flex from the unique 5-ribbed tongue removing the need for rivets through the cuff, allowing for a natural flex. This technology was originally designed by former NASA engineers after working on space boots that needed to take the impacts of jumping 10 feet in the air with 200lb suits on; now tell me that technology isn’t good enough for you.
Flex and Fit
Flex Rating – 4 (1 Softest – 10 Stiffest)
A freestyle directed #4 flex tongue allows for enough power while highlighting the natural playful flex of the boot. Full Tilt tongues are inter-changeable making it simple to swap flexes on the fly (extra tongues sold separately).
102mm lasted comfort fit

Great all around boot. Very warm and perfect for people with wider feet. There is alomst no shin bang and the boot feels great all day. They are a little flexy on groomers but really come alive off trails and in the park.

Comments about Full Tilt Booter Ski Boots 2012:

I love these boots, so happy I could find some Full Tilts that fit my wide feet. I got them out opening day and I couldn't be more satisfied. Love the liners, be sure to get them heat molded.
The only thing I would reccomend is getting a stiffer tongue. The #4 flex tongue that comes with the booters is a bit too flexy for all mountain skiing. I got the #6 tongue separately because I like to ski it all, but if you like cruising through the park, look no farther!

Comments about Full Tilt Booter Ski Boots 2012:

Full Tilt has truly outdone themselves with the 2012 Booter. The boots are great for both the park and for downhill skiing. After my first run through the park in the Booters I noticed the greater amount of control I had over my skis and the comfort I maintained while hitting rails and jumps.
The front of the boot is just spacious enough to prevent toebang unlike many boots that skiiers are unfortunate enough to wear into the park.
Overall I have had no problems with the Booters and would recommend them to any moderate to advanced skiier that enjoys anything from the park, to back country hits, to double blacks.
