I have these mounted on a pair of Solomon Lords. The main reason I got them is because they are really light. They have pretty standard adjustability and mounted up right away. They release when you need them to and hold when you don't. My one complaint is that they are pretty low to the ski which is great in the powder but lacks that umph when you're trying to carve in the east. This would be fine if there if there was a small riser insert you could buy with them, but Salomon hasn't made one yet (that I could find). Next time I would go for either a higher mount or one with an available spacer.

First off I'm an avid skier, I ski fast and hard and take pretty good care of my equipment.
This is my second time with these bindings after the mounting plate of the heel piece cracked and fell off last season. I was hoping that this was just a fluke occurrence, so I just warrantied them and put them back on my Bacons. However, I'm quite disappointed already (after just 7 days of skiing) as the heel has bent and sits crooked and the brake plates are cracked and fall off the ski! I would not recommend this binding to anyone who considers themselves strong skiers, as they are clearly constructed of weak plastics/soft metal.

Comments about Salomon Z12 Ti (90mm Brake) Ski Bindings 2009:

I use this binding on my twin tip park skis. They are very lightweight, responsive and tough. They have never released when I didn't want them to, and always release when I want and would expect them to. Plus they are very good looking bindings. I highly recommend them.

Comments about Salomon Z12 Ti (90mm Brake) Ski Bindings 2009:

I consider myself a beginning advanced skier and an aspiring all mountain skier at that. So far, I have skied, well, pretty much the whole mountain. Besides my new boards that the Z12's are mounted too, I am sure that these awesome bindings are taking me to the next level more quickly than I deserve!

Great binding for the money. Has a really nice interface with the boot. Instead of just a skid plate with a low friction coating, it has a sliding plate on bearings. Has a reliable release, and won't pop off just because of a quick shock. Great for backcountry, park, etc.
