Rossignol SAS2 120 WB Bindings 2009 - The Rossignol SAS2 120 Wide Brake Bindings are a part of the Seven Artistic Sins ridable art line up this year. With a 100 mm brake width and a DIN (3.5-12) the Rossignol SAS2 120 Bindings are created for the ultimate versatile performance. Rossignol proves their commitment to quality with the performance technology, forward pressure, elastic travel, and reinforced toe piece incorporated in the 2008 Rossignol SAS2 120 Wide Brake Bindings.

  • Performance Geometry:The lateral arms of the heel piece are angled down to apply greater pressure to the edge of the ski creating more power directly from the skier to the ski with less energy loss. The binding becomes a performance-enhancing tool.
  • Forward Pressure:The binding’s forward pressure has been increased 30% dramatically enhancing the interface between boot and binding. The increase of pressure influences ski behavior, improving rebound and responsiveness.
  • Elastic Travel:The heel has 25mm of elastic travel; the longest travel of any binding on the market. Torsional Stiffness: A 40% increase in stiffness translates into less play between the boot and binding, and a dramatic improvement in the transfer of power to the snow.
  • Solid AFD creates a more positive interface for boot and binding

The bindings went on the boards well, ready to install out of the box. The axial heel pieces are the best out and they are a pleasure to click into every time you get on the hill. The positive feel of the binding inspires confidence and allows for sketchy landings without inappropriate release. The heel of your boot never slides sideways if you do not always land straight on. Very robust construction that will last for years. I have had my last pair for 4 seasons of rugged park and all mountain riding in the East.

These bindings are good and i do like them. I turn great and feel comfortable in them. However, they are not for the park. They are heavy and just didn't let me do what i wanted. Another problem is it is hard to get out of the bindings. It takes a lot of effort to get your skis off! But overall if you just want bindings for groomers or powder or anything all mountain I think that these would work for you.

Comments about Rossignol SAS2 120 Wide Brake Ski Bindings 2009:

Great bindings. I use these to ski park and they've never ejected when they shouldnt nor have i had any problems. They are a bit heavy but then again i only weight 130lbs but they don't hinder my riding at all. Overall a great binding for park and groomers, i dont ski powder but im sure they'd be good for that too.

Comments about Rossignol SAS2 120 Wide Brake Ski Bindings 2009:

They are a good all around binding. I am a female, 120 lbs, and a somewhat aggressive daily skier in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Because of my size I am low impact on bindings, so I don't know if there are faults to these bindings for someone bigger. Also, I do not come out of any binding easily. I have them mounted to my Rossi B Squads and have had no problem with them. They are a bit heavy, but nothing bothersome. Honestly I bought them mostly for the price (on sale), acceptable din range, and wide brakes. They work, I have no complaints.

Comments about Rossignol SAS2 120 Wide Brake Ski Bindings 2009:

I've been satisfied with these bindings given the great deal that I got on them through evo. The only warning I would give is that I think they might be a little bit narrower than rossignol quotes. I wish they were a little bit wider to fit my rossignol skis better. Maybe buy a size wider if it's really close. But satisfied so far.

Comments about Rossignol SAS2 120 Wide Brake Ski Bindings 2009:

These bindings are sick. Ripping through deep powder, dropping a 20 footer or tearing up the moguls, I have never had an unwanted release.
