Product Info

Marker Jester Schizo Ski Bindings (90mm Brakes) 2012: The popluar Schizo technology breaks new ground, offering skiers the ability to move their stance fore/aft 3cm in each direction for the ultimate versatility. The Marker Jester Schizo Ski Bindings allow skiers to go from pipe & park to all-mountain skiing, or from hard, groomed snow to powder, all with the turn of a simple screw on the toe piece. For all-mountain versatility and powder riding, you want to stand further back on the ski. For switch and park riding, you want to be further forward. Marker engineers have devised a way for the skier to have both.

Construction

All Marker bindings are equipped with the Gliding AFD (anti friction device) which ensures a more effective release - with no ill effects from dirt, snow and ice!

The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5° it provides the highest energy absorption, reducing the risk of early release. The large support surface optimizes power transmission and allows the binding to absorb tremendous pressure.

The Inter Pivot heel construction provides fantastic retention when freeriding. The pressure is conveyed directly to the sole of the boot and, increasing optimal power transmission and energy absorption, while reducing the instance of early release.

Comments about Marker Jester Schizo Ski Bindings (90mm Brakes) 2012:

Scored these to use with my ARTificial Nurtures. These are my first twin tip skis that are designed for center mounting. I haven't skied much in the last 8 years, so the long tails were a huge hassle and I couldn't figure out how to weight the skis. I took my snowboard tool, cranked the bindings back 1.5cm and they were much easier to ride. Big powder day? Go back 3 cm. Trying to break my neck on a jump? Put at 0 or +1. They have a little extra weight to them, but I think it's a reasonable penalty for the adjustability. VERY happy with the purchase - versatile skis become uber versatile with these bindings. The sale price was a steal, but I think the value is there at retail.

Again, great construction! and quality! Although; a little on the heavy side...But that's probably due to the heavy-duty build.

Comments about Marker Jester Schizo Ski Bindings (90mm Brakes) 2012:

Awsome binding, really well made, beig able to adjust it is great for switching between all mountain and park skiing, really makes any twin tip a true one quiver ski. I feel the added durability of the magnesium parts is worth it over the Marker Griffon- only adds a couple oz of weight. They look great, and have a stron DIN range, but work perfectly well for 7-8 DIN users.
