Toe

Triple Pivot Elite ToeWith a horizontally oriented spring, it provides the highest energy absorption to reduce the risk of early release. The secure purchase on the boot lug optimizes power transmission and allows for durable, high energy use. The performance to weight ratio of the Triple Pivot toe is truly unmatched in the industry.

Integrated Gliding AFDGliding Anti-Friction Device (AFD) provides consistent lateral release with rockered and lugged AT boot soles

Heel

Inter Pivot HeelIndustry-leading construction delivers superior holding power for all types of freeskiing. Its design focuses power in the direction of the boot sole, increasing elasticity. The overall design creates optimum power transmission.

EPS SystemDual-screw brake pad

Tour Mode

Dual climbing levels of 7˚ and 13˚ can be adjusted with ski poles

Super secure lock mechanism lever is located under the boot; touring position slides boot 4 cm rearward for ease in kick turning

Hike MechanismMarker introduced the concept of passive safety, and the Duke Continues in that tradition. With the lever secured under the boot, you can be sure your binding cannot switch back into touring mode – that‘s the safest way to ski the big stuff! In addition, when the skier goes into touring mode, the entire interface moves back 4cm for better balance while climbing and easier kick turns.

Additional Features

Magnesium components for lightness without sacrificing strength

Accommodates alpine and AT boots

Boot Sole Length: 305-365mm

Comments about Marker Duke EPF Large Ski Bindings 2014:

The Duke is a beast of a touring binding, and that doesn't mean it's heavy, it's just heavy duty. I did a lot of freeriding on these last season, hitting jumps and cliffs and skiing really hard on them in the backcountry, and they are incredibly solid. They are super easy to use and very lightweight for a touring binding. I love these things, they get me where I need to go and switch back and forth from touring to skiing mode very quickly and easily. There are a lot of bindings that mimic the Duke coming out every year, and I think that's a testament to their impeccable design. But you just can't beat the Duke.

Comments about Marker Duke EPF Large Ski Bindings 2014:

The new duke rocked. I skied this on the Volkl Shiro after skiing the same ski with a Jester. The binding made the ski more stable and smooth able to mash across groomers and broken junk and crud without getting deflected. The binding also felt lower to the ski than previous model Dukes because the new wider chassis distributed the pressure out to the edges better. I didn't get to use te touring function do can't comment on that but it is redesigned solid competitor in the growing freeride AT binding category.

After a searching a number of binding and looking for flexibility in use and quality, this binding stood out without peer. However, the real test will be this winter, so far it looks like a good decision on paper.

Comments about Marker Duke EPF Large Ski Bindings 2014:

This is the perfect all around binding for my use, about 60% resort skiing and 40% backcountry. I like how you can mount them for your downhill preference (close to center) then when you put them in touring mode they slide back for better uphill skinning. These have the extended power base which is great on my Line Sir Francis Bacon skis.

These bindings are the bombdiggity. If you are on the fence about buying them, stop thinking about it and just do it. They are super easy to adjust to their touring mode and lock in tight for downhill. They aren't too heavy and hold you in where other bindings might fail. I have them on my Line Elizabeth skis and they work fantastic for all mountain skiing. I am way impressed with these and would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a really well-made, versatile binding.

I have used Duke's on my resort ski's for the past 6 years. They are stiff and supportive just like apline bindings, but are there when you need them for side country touring.

I have done some longer tours on them, and would not reccomend Duke's for them. They are heavy, and not nearly as efficient and Dynafit's or Plum's...

Super sturdy binding. Haven't put it through the ringer coming down yet, but it feels very very solid. Nice and smooth on the way up. It is heavy, but doesn't make much of a difference when you already have heavy skis and boots, and the stability is worth it.

This is the best all around binding to accomplish both downhill and a/t. Tough as nails!
Many improvements over the last generation such as reduced weight as well as stiffer rails. They ride significantly better than the previous Dukes (which already rode awesome). It feels like I'm a little more connected to the ski, better response. Would highly recommend these to anyone looking for great a/t bindings.
