Look PX 12 Wide Ski Bindings (100mm Brakes) 2012: Whether you just bought your first pair of rockered skis or you’re looking to upgrade your current setup, the Look PX 12 Ski Bindings are the perfect compliment. Four points of contact in the toe piece and the longest elastic travel on the market in the heel combine to give you confidence, performance, and reliability when it’s needed most.
Special Features
PX Heel - 25mm of elastic travel, the longest travel of any binding on the market, preventing unwanted pre-releasing so that your ski will stay on when you want it to
Full Drive Toe - Four points of contact on the boot for maximum power transmission, 180 degree multi-directional release capabilities which aid in release, High elastic travel for vertical and lateral movements help to eliminate inadvertent release and offer shock absorption, AFD reduces friction in a release.
Recommended Use
The Look PX 12 Ski Bindings are best for intermediate to advanced skiers looking to push their skills across the entire mountain.
Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
Construction
Reinforced housing throughout the toe piece for strength and a PX heel that features angled lateral arms that apply greater pressure to the edge of the ski to create greater power directly from the skier to the ski.

I've gotten a few days of skiing in on my new setup - 2011-12 Rossignol Scimitars (185 length, 98mm underfoot, fully rockered) and these Look PX 12 bindings. I couldn't be happier. The bindings are easy to get in and out of and I'm confident in their retention and release capabilities. (Even had to hand release both bindings in an awkward sitting position after managing to slide into a shallow creek. Embarrassing for sure but getting the bindings to hand release was pretty easy given the heel piece design.) I feel I can pretty much do whatever I want on the Scimitars and these bindings are a big part of that.

This was misrepresented to me by the phone sales guy as an especially wide base binding for use with fat skis. It isn't: It's just the ordinary Look PX12 with wide brakes. The PX12 is a good downhill binding but I wanted a wider base than the Look (which is quite skinny) to get better edge leverage.
You can pick up the PX12 standard and some wide brakes for it for less than this package; but if you want a wide binding (not just a wide brake) this is not it.

Skied this binding all last year. I broke the brakes a couple of times while landing switch, but that is a design flaw for most bindings. Warranty was solid, and I got them swapped out right away.

These are great bindings; they have that solid Look construction, and are solid on entry and exit, even with some snow accumulation on my boot. I was stoked to find these.
