Great durable binding

Comments about Look Pivot 18 Ski Bindings 2016:

The construction of the 18 pivot binding is unmatched and will outlast the skis you first mounted them on. There's only one issue I have with the binding I discovered while making snow at a resort that it is difficult to step in and out of the binding repeatedly but for 99% of people this isn't an issue. I just purchased my second pair and can't wait to get them mounted on a different pair of skis.

Comments about Look Pivot 18 Ski Bindings 2016:

As a life long skier in Colorado, I have gone through a ton of gear. Look/Rossi bindings were the only bindings to hold up to my gnarly park crashes during the younger, learning years. When I purchased this binding, I knew I was investing in a binding that will outlast numerous skis to come. (I have completely blown up Marker bindings)

This binding design has never failed my knees on the bad wrecks or awkward landings. (I hyper-extended my knee due to a Salomon binding not releasing) It releases when I need want it to and I always have the option to crank the Pivot 18's down for a powder/back country session. I particularly like the higher DIN option with the Pivot 18's because it facilitates the binding flexibility desired with my riding style and weight throughout the season. (park/groomers/ice early season. Powder/Back Country mid season. Mashed Potatoes late season) (Heavier winter weight early season, Lighter svelte frame late season)

As mentioned in another review, the toe piece is heavier than the Pivot 14's plastic toe piece. I focused on lighter boots and skis over a lighter binding.

Note: The ski brake recommendation on Evo worked perfectly for my park setup and powder setup. <15mm from the waist.
