As recommended by the Herrinton product instructions, I waterproofed my brand new Herrington S-2 heated Gloves (to deal with the very wet conditions here in the Pacific Northwest)

Worked exactly as advertised. I had a pair of gloves that had poor DWR finish. The outside fabric was quickly absorbing water. I applied this stuff as directed, let it dry, and poof! The gloves repelled the water like crazy. Awesome product, bottom line.

Treated a pair of softshell snowboarding gloves.

I've used other water repellant sprays and the Nikwax was noticeably better. I did about 4 applications with my new leather gloves and have only had to repeat twice in two years. Here in the Pacific Northwest you can plan on sloppy conditions and this year has been the worst in history (ask the folks in Vancouver.) My gloves have stayed mostly dry when they would otherwise be saturated. I would give 4 stars if this were perfect but I don't think that exists.
