Tahoe is an awesome place, so the mittens named after it should also be awesome... and they are! The DaKine Tahoe Mittens are so warm and dry, you'll never want to go back to your old gloves. They are made out of a nylon polyester blend fabric, feature a DWR leather palm and have a DK Dry waterproof insert - that's a whole lot of waterproofing. They also have a ton of insulation and Tricot lining going on, so you'll definitely be ready to take on Tahoe, or Talkeetna for that matter!
Nylon / Polyester with DWR Treatment – A high stretch fabric for added comfort and a smooth range of motion. The fabric is treated on the surface with Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish and coated on the backside for additional water repellency and durability.
DK Dry™ Waterproof – Polyurethane inserts use a unique film technology that maximizes value and comfort. The waterproof inserts block water from the outside, keeping hands warm and dry on the inside.
High Loft Synthetic [210 / 350g] – A synthetic insulation with an excellent balance of comfort, warmth and value. It resists moisture in wet conditions, providing loft retention and an air space that holds heat and keeps hands warm. The non-bulky nature of this insulation allows breathability when conditions are warmer.
Tricot Lining [150 g] – Tricot lining is very low bulk compared to other lining materials. Also lightweight, tricot provides the ultimate dexterity and moisture management.
Durable water repellent leather
Cuff Closure – One hand cinch guantlet
Touch screen compatible
Internal heat pack pocket
Warmth Index 4 – 4 out of 5 for warmth rating. Gloves and mitts are rated from 1-5 based on the amount of insulation and lining materials. Styles with a warmth rating of 1 are designed for warmer weather conditions, whereas gloves or mitts with a rating of 5 are the warmest styles for the harshest conditions and those in need of maximum warmth.
