Völkl Volkl Kenja Skis - Women's 2015

For the intermediate to advanced woman skier who values bomber hard snow performance and sticks to maintained runs with brief forays into the deeper stuff, the Völkl Kenja is one of the best choices in the business. Featuring women-specific Bio-Logic geometry and flex, the Kenja is fine-tuned to a woman's stance and needs, and delivers the goods when it counts.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Tip RockerThe combination of an early rise tip and a classic camber profile in the rest of the ski provides easy, smooth turn entry regardless of conditions. The ski is incredibly forgiving, floats better, and requires less energy to ride.

Flex

Bio-Logic FlexVölkl carefully matches the flex to complement their Bio-Logic stance and geometry parameters. A bit stiffer in the tip for quick turn initiation and a bit softer in the tail for easy exit from the turn allows you to ski longer with less fatigue.

Sidecut

Bio-Logic GeometryBio-Logic sidecuts are wider in the tip and narrower in the tail than unisex designs and feature a tighter radius in the front of the ski and a longer radius toward the tail. This shape lets the skier finish the turn with less effort and reduces stress on the knees.

Shape

Bio-Logic StanceBio-Logic models with tip rocker use the profile of the ski to create a more level stance, allowing less loading of the quads and better, more relaxed performance.

Core

Multi-Layer Wood CoreVölkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern is tailored to each ski model, depending on the desired performance.

Laminates

Powered by TitaniumA metal layer just under the topskin delivers dampness and power at speed.

Power ConstructionConstruction utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. Used in racing skis as well as all the freeskiing models, this versatile, proven construction provides tremendous grip, stability, and a smooth ride.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Marker Griffon Ski Bindings 2016

The Marker Griffon Ski Bindings are our top selling performance binding year after year. The reasons are obvious - excellent energy transmission, light weight compared to other bindings in its class, and solid durability have made the Griffon a fan favorite that finds its way onto more freeride skis than any other 12 to 14 DIN clamp. Marker's gliding AFD (anti-friction device) ensures consistent release with all types of ISO 5355 alpine soles and is less dependent on cleanliness or condition than stationary AFD's. The Inter Pivot Heel is time tested and offers excellent vertical elasticity as well as reliable release when you really need it. Step into the Griffon this season and find your own sweet spot.

Toe Piece

AFD Gliding PlateAll Marker bindings (except the Jester Pro) are equipped with a moveable AFD (Anti Friction Device), allowing a precise release unhindered by dirt, snow, and ice buildup. The type of AFT is matched to the skier type, ensuring perfect functionality from racing to junior and even alpine touring.

Triple Pivot Elite Toe PieceWith a horizontally oriented spring, it provides the highest energy absorption to reduce the risk of early release. The secure purchase on the boot lug optimizes power transmission and allows for durable, high energy use. The performance to weight ratio of the Triple Pivot toe is truly unmatched in the industry.

Heel Piece

Inter Pivot HeelThis industry-leading construction delivers superior holding power for all types of freeskiing. Its design focuses power in the direction of the boot sole, increasing elasticity. The overall design creates optimum power transmission.
