GNU Park Pickle PTX Snowboard 2012: From pickles to bananas, the GNU Park Pickle PTX Snowboard offers an unforgettable freestyle ride. Asymmetric sidecuts and construction with Banana between the feet; the GNU Park Pickle offers easy catch-free riding and unreal float in powder. For the progressive freestyler, the GNU Park Pickle PTX Snowboard is the only board to ride.
Flex
Flex Rating: 5.5-6 (Depending on size) (1 Soft-10 Stiff): Designed for riders who live in the park but want a tad more support than a limp noodle.
Construction and Core
Twin Asymmetrical Banana Tech PTX provides balance through asymmetry and the revolutionary Banana Rocker Technology applies more pressure inward to the edge area at and between your feet. While your stance presses out the rocker, the tip and tail still make enough contact for enough stability without sacrificing float
reCURVE Magne-Traction camber/rocker combination is designed to give you the float of a rocker in the pow and crud, with the liveliness and performance edge of camber on the hardpack and ice
Asym AG Aspen core
Shape
Pickle tech: Asymmetric sidecuts and construction to balance the different turning mechanics required for heelside and toe side turns. The heel-side has a slightly tighter radius than the toe-side. This is to help offset the difference in human heel and toe agility.
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
UHMW sidewalls
Magne-Traction 0.75 Shred technology gives better edge hold and makes for an easier ride. Magne-Traction edges cut into the snow like a knife giving you more edge hold and control. Magne-Traction has 7 distinct contact points strategically placed for tip/tail control while maintaining freestyle freedom
Asymmetrical Sidecuts: 8.3m Toeside and 7.3m Heelside.
The sintered base is fast and durable

Comments about GNU Park Pickle PTX Snowboard 2012:

Hence the name of the board, you have to hit up the park with this thing. The only thing I do not like about it is that just on the first day of riding I already had two chips off the top of the board. However, that kind of damage to a board is inevitable no matter the strength. Over all, I highly recommend this board to anyone who rides the park at least 40% of their time on the mountain. I say such a low 40% because I did a lot of free riding with this board and had just as good of a time on it, if not better, than my actual free riding board (Capita Black Snowboard Of Death). If you are in the park 100% of the time then more pickle power to you.
