You leave dishes in it, you wash your hands in it, you drink from it and sometimes you relieve yourself in it— it's the Kitchen Sink and it is damn functional. New to the 2013 Forum collection, this freestyle board combines the filthiest tech into one mega deck, like the Grand Pops profile that has dramatic pop zones just inside the contact points in the nose/tail and regular camber between the feet, resulting in pop more powerful than Donald Trump. Call the plumber cause this Kitchen Sink is bursting with dirty Car Bombs and a Super GnarLE Core that makes it extremely lightweight and explosive for launching off booters. The Forum Kitchen Sink Snowboard is so sick you might soil yourself.
Rocker Type
Grand Pops - Vastly exaggerated pop zones dramatically increase the surface area just inside the contact points at the nose and tail. These aggressive pop zones create an even larger platform to ollie from. When combined with the stability of a lower camber height between the feet, they deliver bigger, more powerful ollies.
Flex
Flex Rating: 5 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - A medium flex perfect for popping and pressing
Stiffer Tail
Shape
NEW Super Buttercup - Provides greater lift to the contact points in the nose and tail off the snow, giving an even, more loose and catch-free ride, which creates a mellow hull effect - perfect for a day lapping the park and buttering the mountain or when some deep freshies come into play
Swingers Club - The tip and tail of the wood core are shaved precisely to save weight without sacrificing durability. This makes the board spin faster and float with less effort when the snow beckons.
Sidecut
Twin-Like
Core
Super GnarLE - With Sustainable Lightweight Wood at the nose and tail, this light core reduces swing weight for faster spin cycles - 25% SLW, and 20% lighter than a GnarLE Core. Grainbelt reinforcement adds extra stomping strength under the bolts.
NEW Car Bombs - No carbon here, instead fiberglass is used to get you the POP. Positioned just outside the feet running to the nose and tail of the board, these fiberglass inlays get the job done. Perfect for sending those booters and launching that hip, just remember to speed check. BOOM!
Laminates
Light Triax - Constructed to give a smooth flex from tip to tail and stability from rail to rail, Light Triax glass provides a smooth and lively feel fine-tuned to freestyle riding.
NEW Car Bombs - No carbon here, instead fiberglass is used to get you the POP. Positioned just outside the feet running to the nose and tail of the board, these fiberglass inlays get the job done. Perfect for sending those booters and launching that hip, just remember to speed check. BOOM!
Base
Formula Base - The sintered base will get you up to speed and off the lip faster, so casing the knuckle is no longer a problem. Go fast and go big with this special formula.
Binding Compatibility
2x4 insert pattern

Being positive and mellow is what the Forum Shaka Snowboard Bindings are all about. Even if you already slay in the park, you still need a binding that will groove with your moves and will grant you the flex and response you're worthy of. Nothing but good vibrations run through these compliant, easy going bindings. The Good Vibes Hinge Disk uses two independent pieces in order to let your board flex out naturally with minimal restriction coming from the bindings, and the EVA footpad and FGel cushion minimize chatter and give support on heavy impacts. In addition, the Simmer Down canting adjusts itself to your stance for effortless flow, so you can ride confident and comfortable with easy style. Geek out and tweak out on all this radical technology. Boom Shakalaka!
Baseplate
30% Glass-Filled Nylon - A tech composite mix of 30% glass fibers and high-grade nylon allows for maximum power transfer while still providing underfoot feel and dampening.
Good Vibes Hinge Disk - Providing increased board feel and control, the Hinge Disk utilizes two separate pieces that operate independently, allowing the binding to flex underfoot. Desgined to fit 4x4 boards exclusively, this disk allows 30 degrees of rotation and three settings of nose-to-tail stance-width adjustment.
Good Vibes EVA Footpad - An adjustable full-length pad that protects riders from heavy impacts and minimizes chatter, while still allowing precise board feel and control
FGel Cushioning in the Toe and Heel
Straps
Flip Flop Ankle Strap - Customizable freestyle freedom is offered by the Flip Flop strap, which provides adjustable increased medial/lateral support so you can decide how you feel your strap’s vibes. Using the tool-free adjustment, remove the straps and put the right on the left and vice versa.
Throwdown Cap Toe Strap - Designed for complete coverage around the toes, this molded strap throws down on demand and cinches boots into the heel cup for precise edge control.
Additional Features
Simmer Down Canting - The medial (inside) section of the pad is engineered with a lower-durometer EVA that is easier to compress than the firm lateral (outside) section. This difference allows the pad to cant naturally based on the amount of pressure delivered from the boot. The natural canting self adjusts to every stance position, providing a custom fit that lets every rider enjoy the benefits of a more comfortable stance position, powerful ollies, and full-foot cushioning.
Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Heelhoop - Lightweight and strong, aluminum offers maximum support and response.
Tool-Free Strap Adjustment - Quick and easy strap-length adjustment—no extra tools needed on-hill

    Camber Double Take

Comments about Forum Kitchen Sink Snowboard 2013:

The Kitchen Sink is super versatile, holds an edge pretty dang well, mid-flex that is plenty snappy. It's camber shape might turn off rocker-lovers (myself included at first) but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked how the board felt on snow. I love rocker as much as the next guy, but camber is definitely making a comeback, and this board will definitely get you stoked on it again.
